Its funny but when I read the blurb for some reason I didnt realize that this book was set in the 40s.
The romance between the 2 MCs and to be honest ther isn't very much takes a backseat to the murder mystery. It was fin to see our amateur sleuths so,ve the murders without the help of modern technology.
Disappointingly though there was no on the page sex and I do like a bit of sex in my bokks.

Review: This book was HOT! The characters had great chemistry. Lots of plot with a twist ending. I will definitely continue this series.

D'aawwwww! Eli Easton sure knows how to deliver the goods in the squishy feels department. Jason and Milo couldn't have been more cute. I just wish there was MORE time between them. I liked the whole "mysterious illness" plot line, but for me it took too much away from Milo and Jason.

Loved this opposites attract, age gap romance. The end was a little too pat, though I did appreciate the HFN. Robert was perfectly lovable as the grumpy, set-in-his-way professor with a Scottish accent. And Chris was woeful as the young but mature percussionist.

The blurb sounded promising but the execution was disappointing. There wasn't even a moment that I liked the hero and the story really dragged.

This is actually a continuation to Beth Ehemann's Room for More series that I really liked and this book is about Brody's fellow hockey star /player friend Viper.
Viper is just the cynical badass player type of guy who makes romance book interesting. Loved him!
All in all an emotional story with a romantic twist I wasn't a biggest fan of but I love Beth Ehemann's writing style. Makes this generic NA'ish type of book a fast and entertaining read. She does the best dialogues and great banter.

5 Sneaky Stars
Ahhhhhhh...... How much do I love Penny Reid? Let me count the ways. I started off with a deep, abiding love for Duane, then moved on to an eternal love for Jethro, and now, I've had to squeeze Cletus in to the mix. So many Winston brothers, all so ill behaved. What's not to love? And then Jennifer, the perfect foil to Cletus' sneaky ways; she holds her own. It was a perfect book. My only regret is the wait until I can read about the next Winston Brother. A re-read might be in order.

Derek back at a club to take revenge on a man who drugged him and abused him, he meets Blue a busboy. Later on in the evening he sees Blue having a drink with the man who abused him and eventually follows him outside where a drugged Blue is being forced into a car.
Derek beats the man up and ends up taking Blue home.
What follows is I guess some insta-love. Both men learn they like some pain and Blue is the submissive to Derek's Dominant.
This was a very easy to read book dealing with mild BDSM.
I might continue on reading the series but I am happy where the 2 men are now.

I enjoyed this second instalment less than the first one, maybe because the crazy Townsent family and Trouble were absent. The setting was closer to a regency historical novel and the MCs Simon and Payton were hot together.

Love this series. The blend of Regency along with the sci-fi brings me back to the days when I was reading Regency romance as well as sci-fi/fantasy. Payton is a very sympathetic character who I could almost picture from the great descriptions. Simon was more of an enigma, but luckily there wasn't too much angst.

Not your typical YA romance. Emotional and sweet but not sugary sweet and touches a topic rarely discussed in romance books.
Lilly and Colton are probably one of my favorite YA couples.
Pure love, even as difficult to handle as theirs, is beautiful.
Well written book and looks like author really knows what she's talking about.

review: This was a sweet romance read. For being a book about two virgins, the romance and love scenes were hot. The characters had great chemistry. It was a predictable book, but a good read.

I usually love fantasy, especially YA fantasy. This really had everything I enjoy... interesting world-building, great characters... I just think I wasn't in the mood for this. I wanted more romance between Kiram and Javier and things moved a little too slowly in the love department. After this week, I needed light and fluffy and that's not what I got. When I read book 2 I'll probably reread this one because I think under different circumstances I would really like it.

As the title implies, this one is a take on Beauty and the Beast. Classic story and when done well, interesting. Hunter and Gretchen had great chemistry throughout the book. Hunter is broken and scarred, both physically and emotionally. Gretchen, obviously the beauty here, brings him out of his solitude.
Neato! All up to date :)Remember, next week is the last week. (I promise to remember to post the theme on time ;)

I really enjoyed this story, set in college. It was sexy and fun. I liked both MCs and the secondary characters. I also liked the writing and although is much different than the second book in the series, which I read a few days ago, A.J. Truman is an author I'll be reading again.

I had read book 2 earlier on in the year and thought that I had missed out on something by not reading book 1.
This is the story of Sam and Declan who are the 2 Best Men at the wedding of a brother and a sister.
Sam is out but Declan identifies as straight until Sam sets his heart a flutter.
The story takes place over a week or so surrounding the wedding where the guys get to know each other and then one morning Sam is whisked away on assignment.

I love this series and re-reading the first book reminded me why I was heartbroken that it finished at 3 books (and a spinoff). I could read Stephen/Lucien stories all day. They are so great together. The first book definitely has an enemies to lovers vibe, but the author makes it work. Highly recommended to those who love paranormal elements in a historical romance.

A short story about a young British girl who is forced to spend her romantic weekend trip to Paris alone when her boyfriend doesn't turn up.
Typical light British chick lit but too short for really feel like it's set in Paris and the ending was very abrupt.
Skandia - I realised your week 4 book is still outstanding... Is that right? I don't think I've seen a completion post.

Yes, Jane, that's right.Sadly, it's a DNF and stays that way. I did try to pick it up again but can't force myself through it. I would have gladly read another book for that task but rules are rules :(

Ok, so a confession to start off with. I love Alice Clayton. She cracks me up. So, I loved this book, too. Really different sort of book though. We have a woman who's been through a devastating event in her marriage and is now working through a divorce. Flying off to her beloved Italy with a friend brings up painful reminders of who she was supposed to be. I loved the journey through Rome with the characters. Marcello was yum :). I do recommend this one.
