Week 2.

I loved this book. It was quite a long time ago since I read book 1.
It didn't matter though because I was able to pick the story easily enough.
Ash is battling against the fact that he has a sister and towards the end of the book Pete has an accident and the story shows him and his road to recovery.
This author is fast becoming an auto buy for me.
Week 2 ~ Option 2: Memory in Death

This series never gets old! Another really good mystery and I liked the closer look into Eve's past. And Roarke... *sigh*. While I love Eve and her no hold barred, ass kicking ways, the secondary characters really steal the show for me. Peabody remains my #1 girl. I love the snippets of her and McNab.
Solid addition to the series. I'll be continuing on, obvs.
Week #2 - Sickness/Health - COMPLETION POSTOption 1

This was a re-read, but I loved Charlie and Travis all over again. Charlie is the owner of a cattle station in Australia and Travis is the American visitor who is able to show Charlie that he doesn't have to be resigned to a life alone. NR Walker writes with such a sense of place and is able to capture the charm of the Australian Outback while at the same time emphasizing that it isn't a place for the weak and uninformed.

Review:
I enjoyed this book. Lots of drama, definitely needed tissues. The female MC had a bucket list she wanted to complete despite her heart condition. The male MC did not know about her heart condition until its almost too late. Good love story.

I.LOVED.THIS.BOOK!!!! Kristen Ashley is a great author. Max and Nina really popped off the page for me in this one. I loved the chemistry and the banter between the two. The mystery brewing in the background kept the book moving. I highly recommend this one!

This was my first story with voyeurism as a theme and also my first one by the author. I've expected more regarding the voyeurism theme, the first scene was kind of hot but after that I don't know what happened. The MCs were cute and their getting together sweet, although there's insta-love. I didn't found their back stories interesting and the whole Cory/Luke part of the story was rather disappointing.

When Earth is invaded by aliens who quickly kill and subdue the populace, Chris is left looking after his mother, two sisters and young cousin. After he is captured, his goal quickly becomes to survive. Many of the humans who were captured have become war prizes for the alien invaders, to be used as sex slaves. Apparently the high command has circulated a story that humans are aggressive and vicious, with no redeeming value, and that sex can calm them. Chris is taken by a soul matched couple, Lasar and Nary, who have a d/s kind of relationship. He is quickly confused since they treat him with kindness and he finds himself liking them. How could he feel this way about beings from the same race that have killed so many humans, including members of his family?
I grew up on sci fi/fantasy books, so I jumped at the chance to read book one in this new series by Morticia Knight. However, my expectations may have been too high. I felt that the world building was not enough for the scope of what was presented. In addition, there were too many new concepts that didn't seem to be adequately explained in the short amount of pages. To be fair, this is the first book of a series, and perhaps more could be explained in future stories. However, the short length made this book feel like it ended in a cliffhanger, because many plot lines were not finished. In addition, the romance was too insta-love for me. I would give it 2.5 stars, rounded up because I see promise. However, I'm not sure that I would continue with the rest of the series.
Week 3.

What a strange book. I have read books by this author before and enjoyed them but it seems that this was a completely different writing style, almost juvenile.
The premise was a good idea. A couple of friends go to Palm Springs for the weekend, plenty of sun and sex. In fact from then on the story turns to PWP.
I am still not sure why the mother stopped letting the father see the child.
Weird.

I loved the first book in the Travis Family series but I have mixed feelings about this second book. (view spoiler) is not a subject matter I like to read about in romance novels. Just my personal preference that influenced my opinion and rating.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

I continue to love everything I read from Kim Fielding. This was a lovely little story. There was magic, wizards, dragons, pirates and the sweetest romance. I would love a sequel and see Julian introducing Kit to his family.
Early theme announcement!!Week 4
Option 1:
8. Read a book where its stated number of pages on GR repeats a number eg 112 pages, 200 pages or 303 pages etc.
*You can read any edition of the book as long as one of them qualifies for the page count
Option 2
Key date: 30 March 2016
Week #3: Beach Reads
5 stars
I really enjoyed this book. Clare and Beckett have known each other for ever. Beckett had a huge crush on Clare when they were teenagers and continues to burn the torch for her now that they are adults. She returned home with her three boys after her husband died and has worked to make a life for their family. This book is a quite different from Roberts' crime related stories. The 'action' is focused on the remodeling of the Inn Beckett and his family own. The romance develops slow and steady, almost what you would expect from a real-life romance with a single mom of three (adorable) children involved. That was a story element I enjoyed, the fact that Clare kept her kids front and center. I would definitely recommend this one.
Week #4: Walt Disney died 15 December 1966 - read a book where its stated number of pages on GR repeats a number

Review: This book was okay. It was a good love story and I enjoyed the way they described costa rica. I was disappointed that they did not bring up the female mcs struggle more with a traumatic event. I think it would have added more depth to the story.
Week 4: book with page numbers that have a repeating number
This book qualifies because it is 300 pages per good reads.

Another in a good series of books. This one featuring Zac , a rent boy who moves to Norfolk to escape the life of drugs although he is still hooking. There he meets up with Liam at a nightclub. What starts as a trick develops into more on both sides.
I was routing for Jamie all the way through. So glad he seems to be getting better.

A surprisingly good Kindle freebie book. I love the guesthouse or inn themed setting in romance books. This love story was well written and I liked the romance between Elsie and Cam. I'm usually bothered by instalove type of stories but this time I really enjoyed the development of the relationship and it didn't bother me a bit if it was maybe too quick.
Week 4: Option 1
Don't Twunk With My Heart by Renae Kaye
Finished 10/2/2016
3.5 stars
Really sweet and funny at times story, low on angst, regarding a twink who became a twunk! I was happy for Kee and Tate and loved to see them finding their HEA. On the plus, Jay and Liam were part of the story and Jay stole the show once again! Needless to say that I've watched several youtube videos by Yanis Marshall! Renae Kaye is an autobuy author for me and never disappoints!
Week 4: Book With Repeating Number in Page Count

Just as exciting the second time around even though I already knew the twist. Love Christine as well as Whyborne & Griffin's continuing relationship.

Week 4 ~ Option 1: Lip Service

Hm. Susan Mallery somehow managed to write a book where nearly none of the characters are likeable, but I still couldn't put it down. I did manage to like Mitch towards the end, but my goodness, he was a Class A jerk for most of the book. And what was up with the sisters? Who sleeps with the guy your sister is dating? Seriously. I definitely soaked up all the drama because it wasn't the characters' personalities that kept me reading, that's for sure. Funnily enough, I want to continue with the series just to see how these people end up with HEA's, lol.
Week #4

Another amazing read from the FABULOUS Kristen Ashley! This author knows how to bring characters to life and weave an entertaining tale. I was rooting for Lexi from page 1, and then for Lexi and Ty (hello!) after the infamous right out of prison meet up. This book can be read as a stand alone. If you haven't read it, it's a MUST.
Week 4A Gift of Time

Review: This book was the end of an awesome trilogy. This book had lots of twists and turns but revealed a lot and answered questions brought up in the previous 2 books. I would recommend this series to anyone. She left it open for another book/storyline, but it did not leave you hanging.
Breann wrote: "Isn't Christine the best?? Love her. Do you listen to the audiobooks?"I didn't realize there were audiobooks. Are they good?

Date Read: 10/9/16
Another great book in this series.
This one centered on Memphis and his love of 2 men. Brennon and Tristan.
I loved the way that the author wove the storyline together to get the three men to become a menage.
Lots of insight to Memphis tragic past.
Ill admit that these books are becoming a little formulaic. Man meets his future partner(s), lots of angst as to why they cant be together. Future partner is kidnapped, our hero saves him, happy ending.
That said they are still a great read.
I can't wait until the Christmas book comes out.
Week 5: Published in October

Before I start this review, let's stop for a moment and pay homage to the cover...... Once you catch your breath, feel free to move on. This was a sexy sports romance that I devoured in a little over 24 hours. Claire was an intelligent, likable h cast against the superstar Warren who appeared to be a typical, one-dimensional athlete in the beginning. But this is Claire Contreras, so our H is anything but. I love books where the H has to chase the h. If you do too, you'll love this one.
Week 5: Carry On

OH, HOW I LOVED THIS. I know it's Harry Potter-ish... but it was different enough that I wasn't bothered by it. I loved the world building, and the authors take on magic and mages. The characters were so perfectly done. Simon is a wonderful hero. A truly good person, a bit slow on the uptake, but so completely likeable. The slow burn between him and Baz was almost unbearable. But totally worth the wait. I really enjoyed every second of this one.
