i only have a few things in a book that will definitely make it so I don't enjoy reading it - and having to learn words, language, land and creatures is definitely the way to do it..... Ugh.

Chapter 4 (view spoiler)[So far I am absolutely loving this book! The narration and the writing style is so beautifully whimsical, and the description of the world and the setting is gorgeous. I also love the dynamics of Tea and her dead brother's relationship, though based on what she said in the beginning of the book I have a bad feeling about Fox. (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 1-5 (view spoiler)[ I am in love with this magic system!! I am so fascinated by these bone witchs and their abilities to control those draevas. I can't wait to watch Tea develop as a bone witch. I really like the character Fox, I want to see what happens with his situation, because I know he can't remain as a "living corpse" forever... I also like how the narration goes from the past to present, I think it is very interesting, and the author also makes it easy to decipher between the two with the italicized text. Finished (view spoiler)[I LOVE this book. It isn't your typical fantasy with a fast paced plot and a lot of action. It's a slow, beautiful, enchanting story. I loved the ending, and my heart broke a little when I realized Prince Kance and Tea aren't endgame. I wonder why she is exiled. Despite wanting to start a war, the present Tea still seems to know right from wrong. I am really looking forward to reading the second book to find out what happened to her to make her so broken and bitter (hide spoiler)]

I don't mind the lack of action in the book much cause I do enjoy books that focus a lot on world building. I want my fantasy worlds to come off the pages and permeate with reality :p But yes I bet there will be more action in the sequel (view spoiler)[and I hope they are better than in this book. The show-down between Tea and the three headed dragon and then between Tea and Aenah was so underwhelming don't you think (hide spoiler)]
