I started watching it too the other night - I am on episode 3. I have heard from a few friends on here that it is suppose to be get really interesting from episode 3 forward. :)

2:43 am and I watched some of episode three and got tired. I'm hoping it gets better Marie, it's why I'm hanging in there. It is weirdly compelling.

You haven't seen nothing yet - it is coming - I just made it past episode 5. I have two more episodes to go as they only did seven episodes. It definitely draws you in but when you watch four all will be revealed of what is really going on. I know that sounds cryptic but it is the best I can do without spoilers. :)

Well it gets more interesting as it goes along and kind of stays to that theme throughout the rest of the episodes. I just finished watching season 7. I will be curious to see what you think as you go along. :)

Now retired, thought I would read more, no too busy.

Padel Tennis

Tennis, indoors now

Gardening still

Photos of my 15,000 signed photographs and putting a value on them.

Spotify, adding music to my liked libraries

Watching Padel Tennis, as to learn more to play better.

Gardening, now cutting down a lot

Oiling/Brushing all my decking/fences for waterproof protection

Cutting down all my fruit bushes

Cleaning, washing.

Starting training course to become a volunteer ranger at Jersey Zoo.

Walking every day 4 to 8 miles.

Sorting out Pension, my work pension, my states pension, stopping my contributions, letting income tax know, sorting monies owed to Tax

Tonight on goodreads.

And keeping up with our TV series and films when time allows.

Playing 62 friends as Quiz Planet every day

Taking my wife to garden centres!

I need to retire from retirement !

But love it.

Congratulations on your retirement, Sean!!!! I was hoping we would be able to travel more when my husband retired but it hasn't happened yet but we do have a trip planned to Hawaii for next Sept for our anniversary. It has been a challenge getting used to having him home all the time. LOL

Enjoy

I loved Hawaii, we stayed for 5 weeks, on each island.

Some beautiful memories.

LOL, my wife says the same thing !

message 3021: by Marie (new)

Marie Congrats on retirement, Sean! Looks like you are one busy bee! lol

That was quite a "retirement" list or should I say a "tired" list! lol

But you know what? As long as you are having fun that is all that matters. Being retired is being your own boss and doing what you love to do. :)

Sarah B | 1532 comments It is 1:08 in the afternoon and I just got done walking 11.5 miles - its a bright & sunny day here with a bright blue sky with fluffy clouds. A bit windy. And while I was out walking I paid my internet bill and stopped at Whole Foods to get more beef. Now I am going to sit down, eat, relax and read the last book in the Horses of the Dawn trilogy by Kathryn Lasky - Wild Blood (Horses of the Dawn #3) by Kathryn Lasky oh and I had my jacket open most of my walk even though it was like 40 F. Doing cold therapy you know..

Last night watched

AJ Anthony Joshua lose his world boxing fight, close fight to Usyk.

11.00 to 12.00 Am

Then watched Cameron Norrie Lose his semi final at Cincannati, done so well to reach semi final.

1.00 to 200 am roughly, was getting tired.

Also for the last month been kept very busy with two Bermin Kittens.

Now retired nearly 11 months, taken on another sport, playing bowls, as well as snooker, padel tennis and tennis. Love working as a volunteer at Durrell'd (Jersey Zoo)

And still walking, worked at the Zoo today.

in retirement, life is busier than ever.

Padel 4/5 times a week, so fast but great fun

Tennis 1/2 times a week

Bowls 1 game a week

Snooker 2 times a week..

Jersey Zoo Once a week

St Johns Ambulance as a companion volunteer, once a week.

In between that gardening, walking, computer, films, series, washing, cleaning.

Usually 2/3 different sports every day.

How did I fit work in !!

Try to come on goodreads, 5/7 times a week.

Truthfully I dont understand why so many people love the 2nd book at all. The first one was amazing. She had a challenge to conquer and it was a great story. But the 2nd one?? It seemed to be off track and all of that torture of the cadets! Surely that should be illegal? And the school kills their own people or allows it to happen? How do they expect to win a war / battles without enough people? It makes no sense. But i hated that torture in the 2nd book and I find it disturbing that so many love that 2nd book. Do they approve of the torture????

Sarah B | 1532 comments Its 1:26 am and I am just now going to go to sleep. I just moved to a new apartment and I wasnt tired at all earlier so I was busy unpacking my books from boxes. But now I do feel sleepy. I also wanted to read a particular book for a challenge on another group so I was looking for it. Had to unpack lots of boxes but I found it! I guess that is good motivation to unpack boxes, even if you are doing it between midnight and 1 am. 😂

I believe I have heard that Alzheimer's actually has a lot to do with diet these days. Of course the powers that be may not want people to know that as they make $$$ off of sick people. But its diet. The brain needs certain things. And the brain is mainly made of fat. People are often in sugar filled diets but low in saturated fat. They are starving the brain. I do ketovore. Almost carnivore. Lots of good doctors on YT like Dr Berg or Dr Osborne (gluten free society) No Grain, No Pain: A 30-Day Diet for Eliminating the Root Cause of Chronic Pain Peter Osborne but people these days eat very different than they did a few hundred years ago. Years ago no one lived on highly processed foods.

Sarah B | 1532 comments Its 11:06 pm and I have been reading Tales of the South Pacific by James A. Michener so I am wondering why these guys in the Navy get assigned to this little tiny tropical island where they basically get paid to do nothing? They play volleyball + basketball + go swimming + suntan on the beach + have barbecues. Read books. The one guy only has to read letters 20 minutes a day before they are sent out. He is supposed to be the recreation leader. But its the most oddest thing ever! And now he made lieutenant! By sitting on a beach! 😱 its very mind boggling.

But this is very easy to read. Its a WW2 story.
