You live in Fiji? The photos make it look like paradise. What's it like there? Like the best things and the worst. Is it much dependent on tourist industry? Are the people friendly? Popular foods? Are you Fiji born and raised?

Yes I'm Fijian born, Muslim, (never been outside of Fiji). The islands (mostly small islands such as Castaway) are like paradise. You must have watched the Tom Hanks movie 'Cast Away' which was shot on the island. Seas and beaches in the sunny wheather is always awesome. Yes, we, the people in Fiji are friendly (not everyone though😊) The overall lifestyle in Fiji is awesome... just not the city life I guess. The bad about Fiji is the roads, poverty level (Fiji's still developing economically) and sudden wheather changes since it's tropical. Popular foods (if you ever come to fiji, you must try) is that cooked using traditional earth ovens (called lovo). We usually put various root crops, some chicken, beaf, mutton and other stuff... it takes several hours to cook. Also almost anything with coconut cream is delicious for e.g. with daruka or fish (fish-in-lolo).
Fiji's economy is mostly dependant on tourism, yes, and agriculture that includes fish and sugar industries etc.
Sunday morning, are usually often the same few jobs... as I guess most of us...
Tripping the bed, and making the bed, always every Sunday morning.
Lots of washing and drying, as always, everyday !
Today also went to the rubbish tip to get rid of all the garden rubbish.
My wife always irons on a Sunday..
This afternoon I will be watching the tennis finals.

Sean, my typical Sunday morning. Get up late, make coffee, read Emails, Yeah, life's good. Your wife irons? You're a lucky guy too! :)

I'm celebrating my first blog post ever with a Lemsip™ ! 🤒

It's 12:40 pm and I'm just eating some lunch before I get back to it!! I've got my Teacher Assistant head on!!

After six days away, loads of washing, drying the last two days.
Today gardening, picking strawberries, Jersey New Potatoes, Carrots, Raspberries and Blackcurrants.
No Wimbledon today, so going to play tennis... 24 C so hot.

Ooh, I love picking strawberries! Nice to have with clotted cream, and a huge pot of tea. I'm about to tuck into a late Sunday roast.
I don't envy the washing though!

Sadly, thinking I have to go back to work tomorrow...
After two weeks off... One week in London
One week at home.. watching Wimbledon...
Tomorrow back to work, not nice...

I always went back to work midweek after a holiday, Sean, the shock wasn't so bad then!

Give me Sibelius or Haydn any day! Love Sibelius' symphony no 2, might listen to that this evening.

Sean, It seems that many people tend to need a vacation after their vacations. 😕

I'm watching In The Dark loosely based on Mark Billingham's books (who I've not read). Time is 21:26.
