Jason E. Fort (fortress23) | 154 comments 9:31 am, Just finished meeting with an aspiring author who wanted to know everything I've been up to to this point in my independent writing journey. Really good conversation, and it was humbling getting to give advice, or lessons on even what not to do to a veteran English teacher...who will probably shake the writing world and knock it over sideways once he finds which route he wants to go with his story.

All this week off, and next week.

Decorating bedroom, tennis, and walking.

Today did a cliff walk, between bays and back, hard work very steep hills, 8 miles in total, with a friends dog, Sam a springer spaniel.

Very tired, no tennis today !

Decorating nearly finished.

Had two weeks off, this is my second week.

Most days have been nice today, the hottest day in Jersey, now very humid, thunderstorms on the way.

Gardening all morning, then to our favourite tea room "Poplars" for coffee and cake.

Lovely, time it well, as beautifully and hot and sunny, now cloudy and dark.

Tennis later, indoors booked just in case.

Heather Burnside (goodreadscomheather_burnside) | 385 comments 2pm. I've just got my PC back from the repair shop. The problem was fixable and only cost £50 to repair so that's a relief. Plus, the technician said I won't have lost any of my work. However, I've just noticed that Google Drive no longer appears to be syncing with my machine, which means my work isn't being backed up. It looks as though I'll have to download it again.

Then just filled the Jacuzzi/hot tub, checked chemicals.

Watched tennis this afternoon.

Read my book in the garden in the sunshine.

Sounds a perfect day.

Joy Mutter (goodreadscomjoy_mutter) | 52 comments It's 7.45 pm on a Bank Holiday and I have just eaten after a day of marketing my books, sending off 5 paperbacks of The Hostile, my latest thriller, to the winners of one of my Goodreads Giveaways that ended yesterday, sound-editing the final chapter of the audiobook version of The Hostile. I managed to water the garden and sunbathe for an hour or so. As soon as my second audiobook goes live, I will be returning to my normal regime of writing for six hours per day, because I feel the need to start writing book nine, another thriller.
