9:31 am, Just finished meeting with an aspiring author who wanted to know everything I've been up to to this point in my independent writing journey. Really good conversation, and it was humbling getting to give advice, or lessons on even what not to do to a veteran English teacher...who will probably shake the writing world and knock it over sideways once he finds which route he wants to go with his story.

Most days have been nice today, the hottest day in Jersey, now very humid, thunderstorms on the way.
Gardening all morning, then to our favourite tea room "Poplars" for coffee and cake.
Lovely, time it well, as beautifully and hot and sunny, now cloudy and dark.
Tennis later, indoors booked just in case.

However, I've just noticed that Google Drive no longer appears to be syncing with my machine, which means my work isn't being backed up. It looks as though I'll have to download it again.
