Chapter 9:
1. 'Kim threw himself upon the next turn of the wheel.' What is does this mean and does Kim see his life differently now than at the beginning of the book?
2. How does Kim fare at St. Xavier's?
Chapter 10:
1. How does Kim feel towards the Lama and why?
2. How do you feel about the drugging and then the magic and calling upon the powers of darkness over Kim? How do his companions respond to it?
Chapter 11:
1. Who is Kim? What does the bairagi (holy man) tell Kim?
2. Do you agree that it is "A long road to the feet of the One; but thither do we all travel."
3. What is at the centre of the wheel of life?
4. Do you agree with the lama that this is a 'great and terrible world.'
5. How important is the railway system in India?
