Yes, I agree with and appreciate spoiler alerts, Pghfan. That allows us to read posts w/out being up to point of poster.
Don't ya hate when they do that? Story is great all way through and then . I'll have to pay attention to your point re: ending. Thanks for the alert without giving anything up.

I'd given up Don for dead and also thought dad's longing for was wishful thinking.
I like the read though. Not loaded down with unnecessary, trivial details.

The reveal reminded me a bit of spoiler alert -
Christie's Paddington mystery where perp wanted the first Mrs. dead. Anyone feel that or was that just a me thing?

Tina, I didn't feel it, but now that you mention it...
So did this make any of us want to read more MRR? I think I do.

I'd like to read more of her projects. I did read Circular Staircase long ago and really liked it. One of my first cozies. Forgot the who and what so I wouldn't mind reading it again. Maybe visit another one in Nov...or earlier would be fine. How can we work this in? Side thread altogether in "The Den" or an official side read? And which one? Start her list from beginning?

Her books remind me of The Santa Klaus Murder by Mavis Doriel Hay . Has anyone read that? It was written in 1936. I got it from Netgalley a while back and thought it was a great mystery!
I did read Santa Klaus and enjoyed it. Let's see who is on board for another MRR. I'm not looking to rush things, though.
Never read Santa Klaus but it sounds good.
Well, we've three interested so far. So right, Pghfan, no rush but the fall/winter seems a great time to touch on her material. Meantime, maybe we can locate a list of her books and go from there.

Spoiler, perhaps:
I have finished the book and found the ending rather convoluted, though I guess it makes sense when you stop and think. I recommend a careful read of the last two chapters and a refreshment of the characters and plot.
