A higher race is basically a species who's natural powers are only trumped by the gods themselves. Basically this worlds equilivent of angels, demigods, and high mages that more often than not chose to serve the god who created them. As for examples that you might know from Song of Creation, well they're obviously the dragons, Mr. Rock's Vampires and Sun Warriors, and to a lesser extent the Trecan's and the dragon children.
As for your other questions yes they can be created. However I would like to discuss the creation of such races and their roles with whomevers creating them via PM. As such races will in no doubt play big roles in the overarching storyline and I would like to know how exactly they're going to change the game before I approve them.

It's all one giant world now, so instead of worlds it's nations.
It's back when the world was one.

Yes, we have a couple demon like races that I'm sure can mate with humans. You should check out the race Creation thread to see what works and if none of them do your always can just make your own race.
Yeah that what I was thinking of or I guess that beast or wildings could be considered demons in a sense as Japan had half animal creatures that they called demons.

Yeah, writing an Etherion is tough as we learned last night so I'll help him with this character once he gets on.

I'm also going to be making a religion for the death god Mortus if you want to have him be apart of that crowd.

The Concord focuses on peace and a ban on killing but that wouldn't work.
None of Rocks really apply I think...
There is always The Followers of Life. The Followers of Life focus on both the short frailness of life along with it's lasting power. The group has a great respect for life which makes them shun things like suicide and killing for sport. However they also understand how life can be cruel and things go out of balance if the circle is not completed so killing out of mercy or self preservation, such as killing an enemy or animal for food, is completely allowed. If anything I think they might be the most honorable group so far, often focusing on dealing kindnesses to those who deserve it and dishing out punishment to the wretched.
Then again it might be my bias since this one is mine.
Izar's philosophy is to live for yourself and only yourself (With a exception being support your lovely goddess Izar and fellow nocturnals) If he wanted to live for himself as a hero then he could. People could hate him for being a nocturnal, thinking him a theif. While Izar might not like him because his heroic and goody too shoes nature might not gilet her as much tribute as thieves.

Sure you can make him the last or just one of a very rare breed in face one of the current storylines going on is that dragons being as rare as they are have run out of breeding partners and have started taking in mortal children as a means to preserve their legacy.
Yes the current limit is four gods but other than that feel free to make as many characters as you want.
okay; I only ask because I like to plan my characters out before I make them and I didn't think I should clog up the character creation thread with the brainstorming
