Helia's people always choose to go to war. It gives them an exscuse to burn things. And your nature and life Goddesses have the perfect land to burn While the Ferronites send all of their best scholars, magicians, fighters, and blacksmith to design the best weapons against dragons and other foes.

okay so Rock, Abyssals are the new species I made. They act as familiars/guardians through a contract formed by magic users. So, either of the two Abyssals I have could be under a contract with her and play a part in the war ( since they don't exclusively need to be at her side at all times ).
