Yes, they do!
So, essentially, they're a collection of energy?

Yes, but only the energy made to make stiff spontaneously appear. Like using magic to make something appear without a base. Like using hydrogen in the air to make your fire magic would not assist in making a void star, bit if your fire just appeared out of nothing then that energy to make nothing into something physical would be transferee into the void. Do this enough time and a Voud Star is created, but it would take years for a mortal to make a void star alone, so most are made either from the gods using an immense amount of power, or in populated areas where nagic is used frequently. Places without much magic use do not get many Void stars.

That's a comforting thought. Void Stars made by Ryuu and Estallia, that isn't dangerous in any way and couldn't possibly be a good collab with a ton of negative repercussions for Fathamore.

I already had the plan of making my void star try and beat a dragon when she was younger and end end up not winning, getting a scar, and then seeking vengeance.

Keep in mind they'd still be mostly human looking. None could actual turn into a dragon unless they used magic to transform themselves. There natural and original form would make them look more like wildling dragons.

I'm giving no limit to the style of magic a Void Star can learn. They were born to a god that supports necromancy for goodness sake, but they could have an affinity for draconic magic.

Yes. I took the idea from homestuck. The void character could take the idea of nothingness and create something physical out of it.
