I really enjoyed reading the Sutherland books. Perhaps we can encourage yet another volume.

Hi Peter - Well I'd assumed it was the daughter, before I did the sums and, like you all, realised it had to be the mother ... except ... I have a sneaking feeling it's metaphorical. Otherwise why would the entire second book be called that?

I agree about another volume! He's going around the same favourites more than once and needs a few different novels to ponder on :D
