Here is my 4 star review of The Handler
by M.P. Woodward. This was a suspenseful spy thriller that was fast-paced, intense, and action-oriented.https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Pulse I just finished Pulse, by B. A. Bellec, a Sci-Fi conspiracy thriller wrapped in a horror story wrapped in an enigma. Wonderful. A real ‘David and Goliath’ story about a small band of eco-vigilantes working to bring down a small part of a giant, above-the-law, profit-above-all corporation, The Pulse Corporation. Just like in Star Wars, the band is planning an attack that can’t possibly win, can’t possibly leave a mark. They do it anyway. I cheered. What could go wrong??? And we’re off. But things go so terribly wrong. I like reading books that are a creative mark off the traditional. Pulse was just that. The format was almost a mashup between a novel and a screenplay. It added to the overall feel and emotion of the book. I can’t give it a higher recommendation. Five stars for Bellec and for his creation, Pulse. Jeff Bailey, author of the conspiracy thriller Not On MY Watch.

I enjoyed this cozy mystery: Bayou Book Thief
by Ellen Byron. Diverse characterization, great world-building details, and the internal dialogues deepened the conflict and pulled this reader into the inner world of the characters. My 4 star review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I think readers who enjoyed Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine are going to enjoy meeting Nita Prose's lovable Molly The Maid. She's a square peg who's much more genuine than most who fit in the round holes of the world.
4★ My review of The Maid

Entertaining. However, it was short on the suspense that is usually in this series.

Now that we're near the publication date, I can post my 4 star review of Trouble with the Cursed
by Kim Harrison. Kim Harrison’s creativity and great world-building stand out in this urban fantasy. The plot is twisty and absorbing with exciting scenes and an antagonist’s personality that is hauntingly memorable.https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
My 4 star review of Hatchet Island
by Paul Doiron:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
This riveting crime thriller and police investigation keeps you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. The setting is mainly on four islands off the coast of Maine as well as the sea kayak trip to get there.
Pale Face Pale Face by Bill Kilpack was absolutely fascinating. I can see why it has won so many awards. To start with, the book gives whole new meaning to the Native American phrase ‘pale face.’ The lead character is Hector, a Navaho Indian living on the Navaho Reservation. Hector has an ‘accident’ and is catastrophically injured and should have died instantly. But he doesn’t die!! He is miraculously ‘repaired’ and healed in an incredibly short period of time. Thus, the story unfolds. Pale Face is, in part, sci-fi. But I found it to be so much more. It’s a deep diving character study of Hector that almost borders on mysticism, Navaho mysticism. Kilpack’s writing style was mesmerizing in the depth to which he presented Hector. For me, five stars for both Bill Kilpack and for Pale Face. Jeff Bailey, author if the conspiracy thriller Not On My Watch.
The Woman in the Library, by one of my favourite Aussie authors, Sulari Gentill, is a wonderfully tricky, multi-layered mystery where I think I suspected almost everyone, real and fictional. A great read!
4.5~5★ My review of The Woman in the Library"
The Lying Dutchman by Graham Brack is the latest entertaining (and informative) adventure of Master Mercurius, a gentle Dutch cleric, coerced into spying in 17th century England. Always entertaining!
4★ My review of The Lying Dutchman
I finished And There He Kept Her by Joshua Moehling and found it to be a well-crafted, highly original debut thriller where readers ride shotgun from beginning to end. 4 Stars My Review
Ok. If you are looking for a new author who writes deliciously terrifying books, try any of author John Hunt’s books. Start with the Doll House - scary good and unputdownable. His other novels are just as good - the Tracker, Off The Grid, Murder Run.
I guarantee u won’t be disappointed. Better than Coben and Barclay!
Let me know!
The Secret World of Connie Starr by Robbi Neal ⭐⭐⭐⭐.5 https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...https://sandysbookaday.wordpress.com/...
My 4 star review of Daughter of Redwinter
by Ed McDonald:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
This is the first book in a new epic fantasy series. Overall, it is gripping and thought-provoking. The high stakes and smooth writing made it a page turner for me. There’s a lot of time spent introducing the characters and some of their back-stories as well as world-building, but that’s not unusual in the first book in a series of this magnitude. However, there is a lot of introspection by the main character that slows the pace as times.

by Brian Feehan:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Brian Feehan’s debut novel, Harmony of Fire is an intense paranormal romantic suspense novel with plenty of action, thrills, and edginess. The author’s creativity and great world-building stand out in this novel. (Brian is the son of Christine Feehan).

The Girl Who Survived by Lisa Jackson ⭐⭐⭐⭐.2 https://sandysbookaday.wordpress.com/...https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Steve Savage: Bounty Hunter: The Beginning Of A Bounty Hunter: A Classic Western Adventure I’ve been a fan of old west shoot-em-ups for 65 years, from The Lone Ranger and Hop-a-long Cassidy on the radio and TV to Bonanza on TV. But nothing can beat the feel of the book in my hands, the smell of the pages, and the thunder of hooves in the dark. I loved Steve Save: Bounty Hunter. I would have read another 500 pages had they been there. Guess I’ll just have to buy and read the rest of the Bounty Hunter series. I highly recommend Steve Savage: Bounty Hunter as a wonderful story with a twisty ending in the tradition of the classic western. Five star to Chris Smith and to Steve Savage. Jeff Bailey, author of the conspiracy thriller Not On MY Watch.

My 3 star review of The Finalists

The author layers multiple themes as the story focuses on the challenges students face in order to get an education as well as the lengths colleges will go to in order to receive donations from wealthy donors.
