I'm wondering more about the violence than the style. This one was pretty graphic, and it was sounding from the comments like Almost Transparent Blue might be even worse? Just makes me a little apprehensive.

hmm... well i did put it on the to-read list (94 books) as opposed to my catch-all long-list (345). that basically means that if it's a buddy or group read, then it jumps to the top of the list. ;)

ah well, only having read this one book, i cannot say. perhaps you'll be the one to inform us all. ;)

haha.. yea, picked up wrong book that killed all the expectations! And now there is nothing..

But it will be unfair to decide with just one book. maybe I will pick some other book - Coin locker babies perhaps, but maybe after sometime.. (after a long time? I have many other books lined up)

Miri, If you found this graphic upsetting, please don't try Almost Transparent Blue. It's filled with explicit sex content to the point you feel disgusted..
Only consolation is that it's just 120 pages or so, just in case you want to try..
Maybe try Coin locker babies (though I have not read it, but I have read good reviews)

Is it violent, though? I don't mind explicit sex, but if it's sexual violence, that's even worse than regular violence.
