Yes. That is where most of the reviews came from. However, even if you can't remove that edition because it will delete the ratings, I think the third edition is extraneous.

Paul Willis (paulwillis) Thank you so much for the work you are doing. I'm well aware that I caused the problem in the first place, but I just figured out how to connect the ASIN to the correct edition so that it links to the amazon listing. Could you completely remove the other two editions so the only one left is the one with the reviews? THANKS!!

Alex | 2736 comments re #862 I'm currently waiting for one of the old editions to merge into the other one, but I am still intending to keep the one as the ARC edition and, of course, the published one.

I admit to not being knowledgeable about ARCs, so if some other librarian feels that this is unwarranted, that can also be deleted.

ETA: Please do not move the ASIN. I was a bit shocked for a second there.

Actually, ARC handling is slightly different. From the Librarian Manual:
ARC Exception: Advance Readers Copies or book galleys are occasionally added to the site with the ISBN number of the future published edition listed in the ISBN field. In this case, the ISBN number should be removed from the ARC edition and shifted to the first published edition. To do this, delete the ISBN number from the ARC edition. Then add a Librarian Note stating that this is the ARC cover and the ISBN number is being moved to the published edition. You can then add the ISBN number to the published edition. Please note that this is the only case where an ISBN or ASIN should be removed from a published edition.
I always add a hyperlink from the ARC edition to the published edition to help readers find it. To illustrate, here is a set of ARCs I worked on yesterday: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Sandra | 31485 comments #867 Umm, that's what I meant "If the ARC cover is different it stays as an ACE." An ACE wouldn't have the ISBN.

Sandra | 31485 comments No worries Dobby, I've been there :)

Alex | 2736 comments re #862/864/867 The merge finally went through and I recombined them, so now just the ARC and the published edition left.

Sandra wrote: "If the ARC cover is different it stays as an ACE."

The difference truly is slight, only seeing them side-by-side is it noticeable (the series title was moved slightly upwards). :/

Dobby0390 wrote: "Actually, ARC handling is slightly different."

Thanks for the heads up Dobby, though, in this case, the ASIN hadn't been added to the ARC edition. I'll keep it in mind in future. :)

message 866: by Sandra (new)

Sandra | 31485 comments #873 Alex, even slight changes are kept :) Just mark it as an ARC & an ACE.

Dee Maselle (deemaselle) | 6 comments Hello, Librarians,

Is it possible to combine these two records? Is there anything I or my colleagues can do to help? When I click on the "Combine" link I'm just brought to the Editor's personal page, or one of my co-authors' personal pages.
