ISBN problem?

Hi there! I was trying to add the ISBN to this recent release Once Should Be Enough. When I try, GR tells me that it is already taken by the following book: Planet Song, although their ISBN is incomplete. My ISBN comes from the Canadian government (I have the email confirmation). How do I rectify this situation to allow me to add my ISBN to my listing?

As kindle editions (on GR) can only have ASINs I've removed the incomplete ISBN from Planet Song.

However you only appear to publish kindle editions yourself? If so, there is no need to add an ISBN.

If in future you come across a correct ISBN that has already been used, you will need to add your ISBN to the description field, as unfortunately ISBNs get re-used quite often, and whichever book is in the database first keeps the ISBN.

Thanks very much! I am starting to widen my distribution, which is one reason the ISBN thing was a concern.
