Ha! I give up on why people do/don't do some things. Of course, I think the way I use Goodreads is the absolutely perfect way of doing things, but there are others who think differently. ;-)

Readers are consumers. You cannot control them. Stop trying, and maybe someone will read your book. Of course, if they don't like it, you'll have a coronary anyway.

Why would you want them to remove it? When you add another book, that reader will be notified of its release. You could possibly gain sales that way.
