What are some of the ways in which Jack’s development has been stunted by growing up in Room? How has he benefited?

In some ways it might be like a blind person seeing for the first time: Perspective is hard to judge and objects are no longer one dimensional. Jack's world expanded in the blink of an eye-it went from tiny to overwhelming. Toward the end, his mom tried to prepare him somewhat, but there really is nothing that can fully prepare someone for such a colossal change in ones life. The benefits of his life as he knew it were few: protected was the greatest advantage.
