Is The Mortal Instruments Clean?

Basically what the title says. I've heard a lot about the series and was wondering if it is clean for the most part.

Well I read a teacher's 1-star review at Amazon and she mentions brother/sister incest and homoerotic elements in book#1, and feels they should be R-rated!

depends what you mean by clean... definitely some language issues, although i can't remember how extreme, and in the later books definitely some sex scenes.
