Sebastian also investigates the death of his friend Rhys Wilkinson. Did you have any level of suspicion that it would connect with Eisner's death? Also, did you think his own death was by suicide or something else?

Veronica (readingonthefly) | 694 comments I didn't think the two deaths would connect at first. I figured Rhys' death would just be a side story and maybe be a window into some of Sebastian's past in the military. I started to change my mind when it was learned that Eisler sometimes took his payment in the form of sex with the wives of his male clients.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1392 comments I was trying to keep an open mind about the manner of Wilkinson's death, but as Veronica noted, when Eisler may have bartered for favors of a sexual nature, I began to wonder what else was hidden.

Veronica, my thoughts exactly. I was stunned when I learned he was in Eisner's home and shot him!

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2240 comments I didn't make the connection at all. My primary suspect was Abigail McBean although for the same motive. I thought Eisler might have extorted sexual favors from her (this was before the revelation of her sister).

Joanna | 139 comments I never connected the two. I couldn't see why someone like Wilkinson would converse with a scum like Eisler.
I had hoped it was going to be natural causes but feared suicide. I never thought he was murdered.
