The more we learned about Eisner, the less he seemed a victim. With such a large list of enemies, did you wonder why he hadn't been murdered long ago?

Veronica (readingonthefly) | 694 comments I did, yes. He was a despicable man who preyed on people's desperation. I'm glad Hero's friend, Abigail?, fed into his superstitions.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1392 comments Yes, he was a predator, and altogether disgusting.

He was so awful it was tough to believe he made it this long. And, his death was an accident. Maybe it was because they feared what could be released upon his death.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2240 comments Yes, he was despicable and had so many enemies, but somehow I wasn't surprised that no one had done him in yet. Very few people are actually willing to kill whether out of fear of social reprisal or religious retribution. It takes a great deal for someone to cross that line and even Rhys killed him by accident.

Veronica (readingonthefly) | 694 comments Good point, Lauren. If wishes could kill...but they can't. And you're right, it's not that easy of a thing to cross the line into murdering someone. That's why it's always a shock when someone does it.

Joanna | 139 comments Yes. And I think if it hadn't been that Yates was going to be the one to hang for the murder, no one would have cared.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 242 comments He was a murder waiting to happen for years.
