Holly (holly2412) | 18 comments Hello! This was a 1990's romance novel where the male lead was an opal miner named Mick. He was Australian. The female lead was resistant to the relationship but couldn't help herself. I believe the male lead had a son? The woman's daughter was also a character. The opal mining was very critical to the story line.

Thanks in advance!
Holly

The Pride of the Peacock is too early I guess.

Juels | 3314 comments Maybe Special Treasures by Sharon Brandos? (Not sure if author's last name is Brandos or Brondos. I've found it under both.)

Goodreads doesn't have a description but I found the following from another site:

THE FUTURE WAS UNCERTAIN, THE PRESENT SHAKY

Colorado-based jeweler Maggie Wellington had been on a roller-coaster ride ever since Australian opal miner Mick O'Shay had come into her life. Yet she couldn't bear to say goodbye.

And so she continued to help Mick try to track down the man who had killed his partner -- even though she feared for what his raw anger might cause him to do.

When the chase led to the strangely beautiful Australian outback, Maggie finally began to understand the elemental passions that drove Mick. And she dared dreams that there was hope for them, after all...

EDITED Aug 18: The spelling Sharon Brondos seems right. For example - http://www.worldcat.org/title/special...

Your link showed Brondos? I'm guessing it is supposed to be Brondos and the Goodreads book is linked to the wrong author name. I think it should be linked to Sharon Brondos.

Sorry, that was a typo. I've edited message #5. Yes, the spelling Sharon Brondos seems right.
