message 412: by Nicole (new)

Nicole Locker | 183 comments Me thinks what Adrian means by exchanging reviews is talking about reviews she's done and reviews done by the other person? Like of the same books you've both read, or something?

Annie Arcane (anniearcane) | 2365 comments Mod
@Miss Nicole: Oh, yesss! That's exactly what I was trying to say! Thank you!!

@Miss Adrian: You're perfectly good!

I didn't want people to wonder why we don't remove a comment that (potentially) sounds like review swapping. So I was trying to clarify that I didn't think you meant it like that. And doing a terrible job of explaning haha! Sorry, guys!!!

message 414: by Amanda (new)

I'm an author and new to the group. The food court seems to be closed at this time of night, so I brought a tin full of homemade fudge and a growler of amber beer.

Well, it's morning here in FL, so let's have some cinnamon buns today:) *hands out a huge plate*

Pssst....Princess Jane, I'm not a fan of gingerbread, but I totally want a ninja cookie. I'll eat it just for that reason:)

India Adams (indiaradams) | 169 comments Nicole wrote: "Breakfast in Texas is breakfast burritos/tacos (same thing). And I'm over here grumbling over my stupid oatmeal."

BREAKFAST TACOS!! I used to live in Austin and LOVED the abundance of breakfast taco choices :( Now I'm in Murphy, NC mountains. There be now tacos here (insert POUT)

message 436: by Amanda (new)

Amanda Siegrist (amandasiegrist) Gosh, can I admit I've never had a breakfast taco.... What goes in it?

message 437: by India (new)

India Adams (indiaradams) | 169 comments Oh my gosh! Umm... almost anything you want! Eggs, cheese, bacon, chorizo, onions... but the best part (for me and my family) is the home-made salsa. Fresh herbs and tomatoes, onions... Cilantro... and the understanding that this is some good sh...! lol! I try to replicate but fail every time. My family holds my poor excuse for Texas taco and say, "It was a good try, mom."
"Not the same, huh?"
Husband wipes a tear.

message 438: by Amanda (new)

Amanda Siegrist (amandasiegrist) Lol, India! I'll have to take your word for it that it's super delicious because, yeah, eggs and salsa just wouldn't mix with me... Semi picky eater:)

All the other ingredients sound like a delicious omelette:)

Adrian Dakota Justice | 10 comments India R. wrote: "Oh my gosh! Umm... almost anything you want! Eggs, cheese, bacon, chorizo, onions... but the best part (for me and my family) is the home-made salsa. Fresh herbs and tomatoes, onions... Cilantro......"

THIS SOUNDS PERFECT:)!

message 440: by [deleted user] (new)

All this food is making me hungry! I will take a huge plate of breakfast tacos please! Yum yum yum!

I just made and had on break at work, a jumbo sized chocolate chip cookie, still warm from the oven, gooey on the inside with the chocolate chips still melted. Going great with my coffee! Yum yum yum!

message 441: by T.L. (new)

T.L. Clark (tlcauthor) | 527 comments >l<
Eurgh! Cliantro (coriander to us Brits)! Eurgh!! Devil food!!!!
Shame, as the rest of the breakfast burrito sounded good.
I'd never heard of them either.

15:00 here, so coming up to 'afternoon tea' (not that we actually have that as a thing anymore, but we should).
Cinnamon buns right about now sounds pretty tempting (*reaches across to Amanda's offerings)

Hmmm...I'm still on Slimming World.
Nice salad anyone?? Carrot sticks?? :-/

message 442: by Amanda (new)

Amanda Siegrist (amandasiegrist) Yes to the salad! But can I add all the calories to it with croutons, chicken, eggs, and a whole slew of other yummy stuff:)

Dang. Now I do want a salad....

message 443: by T.L. (new)

T.L. Clark (tlcauthor) | 527 comments Tee hee; is there any other way to make salad??
I love them; it's like my own personal challenge to take really healthy ingredients and make them as unhealthy as possible (usually with loads of dressing being the main aid to this).

@CB: LOL

message 447: by Nicole (new)

Nicole Locker | 183 comments Haha ok, so a breakfast taco is like a breakfast plate wrapped in a flour tortilla. The basics are usually like bacon, egg, and cheese (if you like cheese). You can add potatoes. Sometimes I'll get Potato, egg, chorizo, which is fabulously fattening. Sausage or ham is also pretty routine. I may or may not eat it with salsa, but it's usually pretty good with.

message 448: by [deleted user] (new)

Breakfast taco is definitely on my upcoming breakfast menu!

message 449: by Groovy (last edited Sep 13, 2016 11:43AM) (new)

Groovy Lee My breakfast and lunch usually consists of Coffee. But I'll take the breakfast tacos for dinner. All of that sounds so delicious.

Is anyone going to share their fudge with me?

message 450: by Carol (new)
