Hi Hannah! My youngest daughter says Edward looks like a jewelry box and is not scary in the slightest, lol, but bring it on! I love sexy shifters etc! Welcome to the group!

HUGS! Welcome Groovy!
Hi there! I'm Lauren and I write fantasy novels with notes of romance and some adventure. I live for the dramatic, romantic moments; all of the other "plot" stuff is the vehicle to get me to those moments. ;)Thank you for the invite, and I look forward to getting to know you all! :)
Yesss! Miss Lauren is here!!

Hello, welcome, have a cookie, start some threads, come be my victim guest. Ya know, whatever you want to ^_~

P.S. - Mr Martin, you're a troublemaker, aren't ya? If not, please assume that role. I'm all for trouble *smirks*

Me, too! I'll take dominant over sparkly any day!
Sorry, Annie. I tried to argue that Pride and Prejudice was actually a romance, over in the Austen group, and I got shot down.I have noticed that you stopped referring to your band of merry makers as 'ladies,' which I appreciate. Tho I addressed my family (one wife, two daughters, three female cats) as 'guys' so a little toleration is maybe a good thing.
You do know that 'Martin' is my given name, right? Or is just because of my age?
Martin wrote: "You do know that 'Martin' is my given name, right? Or is just because of my age? "
Umm. Yes, I do. And, no, it's not...
*grins sheepishly*
Actually, I have a very bad (sometimes good haha!) habit of calling everyone Miss, Mister, ma'am, and sir. I have no idea why. It just rolls off my tongue, even in real life.
Does it bother you, good sir? It does bother some folks and for those I always stop. I mean, minus the odd slip-up here and there ^_~
Hugs,
Ann
EDIT: Oh, I totes forgot! Pride and Prejudice IS a romance. Plus, differing opinions are a good thing, in my books (pun definitely intended)!!

Thanks, everyone, for the welcome! **I'm waving too**Annie, I meant contagious meaning unable to resist your lively spirit, and not be influenced by it:)
Naughty Martin, I'm going to keep the subject on being a tennis nut!
Thank-you, Alexis:)And I'd just like to congratulate this forum on it's one week anniversary:) **balloons and confetti popping everywhere--whistles blowing**
I don't think I've seen a forum do so well in so short a time...
Hi Annie!! *Jump up and down and waves* Thanks for the invite! Hugs!Hi All,
I'm a writer and aspiring author. I'm working on both a Y/A PNR series and a non-romance book (I won't break rules by discussing this further). I also have a contemporary romance on the back burner (I pulled it out of the fireplace, stomped on it, and will see if it can be salvaged).
Hubby and I have been dog rescuers for about 20 years, though we will rescue any animal in need. We enjoy watching movies on the weekend. I prefer romantic comedies.
I have a great sense of humor and about as nutty as a Snickers bar, but also as nervous as an M&M being stared at. Happy to be here!! ; )
Miss Sue!!
*also jumps and waves cuz I mean, who doesn't?*
Welcome to the party!!!

Hi all :)I'm Tara and I love romances. I will be trying my hand at one in the near future - trying to find time and work up my nerve. I'm so glad this group is here for people like us - and not just because Miss Annie is awesome sauce :O
Thanks for hosting this party, Annie! As usual, I'm arriving (fashionably) late. Jill is the name, contemporary romance the game. I've got 8 books out, 9th coming out this November. I live in SoCal, have 3 kids in elementary school, and practice medicine when I'm not writing (or maybe the other way around). Anyway, lovely to be here and meet you all!

Hmm... I have seen your pic somewhere... It will come to me. Anywho—nice to meet ya!
Hi. I'm another Jane. I read EVERYTHING. I write... well, my first book was billed as an erotic romance--except it really wasn't. ;) My second book (in press) I'm calling an erotic tragedy with a happy ending. Except it's not really erotica. My third book, I just finished two weeks ago, and I've promised myself not to look at it for a few weeks...I had my first book published with Harper Collins (Mischief), and they offered on my 2nd, but I'm 99% sure I"m going to go indie with it (because, long story), and so... here I am.
I HATE social media, but I love Good Reads, so I'm hoping this will be a good place to connect with funky people.
And as I said in my other comment--I stumbled onto this page as you were forming it, and you all sound like so much fun...

Hello and welcome "other" Jane!
Actually, you can totally be Miss Jane cuz the original Jane is Princess Jane. Okay, I'm just confusing everyone, right? Haha!
Welcome to the indie side, ma'am! We are definitely a funky bunch (quirky not stinky!)
Hugs,
Ann

Hello Sue, Tara, Jill, and Jane! Welcome;) We keep growing and growing and growing. Awesome! *passes more wine and coke* Although, I'm a Pepsi fan myself, but I know someone of you wanted coke. *wink*
Hello!!I'm Bree, and I write contemporary AND historical romance, though not in the same book (so far... :-) )
I am also a voracious reader, reading whatever falls into my hands. If they printed instructions on toilet paper, I would read those every time I had to go. I read the whole Patient Information Leaflet inside packets of drugs, if there is one. I read everything on the back of a packet mix cake, not just the instructions. And my house is full of books. I rejoice over the development of the e-book, otherwise I suspect by now my furniture would have had to make way for books.
I hail from the far off otherworld of Australia, so you'll probably see my comments pop up first thing in the morning, when I'm sure you all crawl out of bed, grab a coffee and, wiping the grit from your eyes, open up your computer and hop straight on to Goodreads... right? Amirite??
I have indie published my first contemporary novel - The Quiet One - and have just pitched my first two historicals at the RWA convention here in Aus. Not as scary as you might think!! Well, at least it wasn't as scary for me... but that could be because I am also a crazy performer, doing community theatre, so audiences don't really scare me that much.
I'm happy to be Miss Bree! I don't think there were any other Miss Bree's?
I'm also happy to accept the wine... and the chocolate... and the cheese...
Woooweee!! We have another author of looove from the land down under! A warm welcome from Canada, (the only) Miss Bree!
*hands over gift basket of chocolate, cheese, and wine*
Congrats on the first novel and good luck with your other two as well!
Hugs,
Ann
P.S. - Gonna go pass out now. Hold down the fort, ladies (and gents)! ^_~

Oooh, I love The Internet. <3We're all so global.
I think I confessed to being from England already. So I pop up at odd times for our American and Canadian friends.
Hey; Sue (dog mum) is here! (*hands around more wine*)
Greetings to everyone.
1 week old already? Yippee! Cheers!

I just tried to read your whole message in an Australian accent, I sucked at it, lol! Nice to meet you, Miss Bree ;)
Amanda wrote: "Welcome Miss Bree! I live in Sunny FL....and the heat is about killing me *runs to the biggest fan imaginable*"I'm supposed to be going to the Keys next week. Guess I will enjoy the tropical storm heading straight for there?
Gaston? Yeah, that nasty man...Hopefully it'll die down for you. I haven't been to the keys yet. Really, really wanna go there. We've been in Florida going on three years now and slowly vacationing around the state.
Have fun! Io hope the weather doesn't ruin it for you.

My husband said we're still going if it stays a tropical storm, lol! We both grew up in FL so we're a little insane and threw hurricane parties, if not warned to leave by officials. When the storms were one after the other, years ago, all important papers and photos lived in totes, and were loaded and unloaded as the storms came and went. Crazy times... He owned a cable business and had to follow the storms to get cities up and going again. I loaded up my trailer and fed the now homeless, living in overcrowded shelters. So sad. Done rambling. I think my coffee was too strong this morning, lol.
Wow! We, thankfully, haven't had a crazy ridiculous storm yet since living here. I'm sure it'll come one of these days. I do love living in Florida:) And coffee is good, fill that puppy up one more time. *wink* *extends my mug for a refill*

Yeah, okay. I'm a nut. I also made it look like Queen Amanda said that instead of you by accident. Oops.
Annnd I love when you guys quote me cuz the strikethrough lines disappear. First, it was "victim guests", and now it's "too strong perfect" coffee. This is how we arrive at all our brilliance ^_^
Happy hugs,
Ann

Welcome, Bree. Finally, someone one whose love for reading matches mine almost perfect. Just like you, I read EVERYTHING. From the boxes on the grocery store shelves, to paper lying in the muddy street, instructions from medicine bottles on the shelves, the manuals that come with the products you buy (even though you're not supposed to); I even read a shorthand manual when I was four. But what I'd rather read is good, soul-stirring fiction:)
Bree wrote: "I hail from the far off otherworld of Australia"Me too! I didn't go to the conference, but I'm hoping I might be able to try to get to next years one!
On a totally different topic, the rules in the little yellow box that pop up at the side, I was looking at them as I was posting this and I notice that the actual rules in bold go from shortest line to longest line, which I thought looked very nice and tidy, but they aren't in alphabetical order, and I usually love everything to be in alphabetical order, so now I am torn . . . I can't believe I actually notice stuff like this . . . I am so weird! (͠◉_◉᷅ )
