Hiya, Tenza! (❛‿❛✿̶̥̥)
Yay on publishing your first novel, and super exciting your next one will be out so soon!

My favorite romance novels involve true love prevailing over drama and conflict, and that's what I tried to create with my debut 'Strictly Surgical,' the story of a clandestine romance between a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon and his business partner's virgin daughter (who, of course, has a huge secret of her own!)

I thought writing was the challenging part... little did I know, the REAL challenge began after I hit "publish." As a newbie, I'm still figuring out the best ways to connect with readers and get my book out there. I hope to learn more by meeting fellow authors in this community!
@Miss April
Congrats on the 1st pub and getting featured (soon) in RWA!!

Hiya, April! (❛‿❛✿̶̥̥)
Super exciting publishing your first book and being listed in the RWA newsletter!

Hiya, Mila! (❛‿❛✿̶̥̥)
Congratulations publishing your first book! There's lots to learn about promoting and marketing, but its a fun journey!

I recently joined goodreads and published my first historical romance novel, Signs of Love and Deliverance. I have been writing since I was a kid and finally got up the courage to publish my novel. It's been a long time getting here, and now, I have to figure out all the marketing stuff which I am finding challenging. Personally, I'd rather be writing and/or reading. I'm hoping groups like this one will be helpful and supportive in this process.
Thanks for having this group and I look forward to reading some of the posts and perhaps even make a few new friends.
Have a great weekend and keep on reading.

Hiya, Tracy! (❛‿❛✿̶̥̥)
Congratulations on publishing your first book! There is lots of great information here in the group and so many helpful people to offer advice!

Congrats on your book, Tracy!

My pen name is Jayne Davis, and I write historical romance set during the Regency period or just before.
Only one book so far, but I'm working on number 2 (and numbers 3 and 4!)

Hi, hello Jayne--and welcome. PS: I really like your book cover :)

Thought I was gonna be sat here alone in a lopsided party hat, surrounded by used party poppers for ages :)

I'm JB and I wanted to say hi, I write Romance with a touch of Mystery. My new novel is on amazon goodreads.com/book/show/38109073-love...
Wanted to let you know I'm here : ) and excited to be part of the group.

The snack trays are empty :(
Is there still anyone here?"
I'm still here! As for the snacks...well, I'll certainly try my hand at baking but honestly, get ready for burnt cookies and dry cake! haha

So, if you want to join a readers/writers/bloggers fb group, there's one I created here...

Having said that, I look forward to reading your books. ;)
Welcome to Goodreads! :)

Hope all is well at your end :-)
I joined the group some time ago, but it's been a while since I was active here, so I thought it might be a good idea to re-introduce myself. This way I could perhaps catch up with old friends and get connected with the new members :-)
My name is Ramla Zareen, and I'm an avid reader of mystery and romance books, these days leaning more towards light-hearted contemporary romances.
Some of my favourite romance authors include: Judith McNaught, Julie James, Robin Bielman, Jennifer Shirk, Kristan Higgens, Rachael Anderson, Ashley Mallory, Zeenat Mahal, Adite Banerjie, Sapna Bhog, Mahi Jay, Shilpa Suraj, Ruchi Vasudeva . . . and the list goes on. Lol.
One great news at my end is that I'm now also a self-published author on Amazon :-)
My book is titled The One for Me

It's a light-hearted, romantic fiction, set in modern-day Pakistan.
I love connecting with fellow book-lovers, so please feel free to send me a friend request if you like :-)
Thank you!

I am into erotica and romance. I am writing my very first contemporary romance/erotica/supernatural thriller hybrid thing. I got into writing because I was dissatisfied with what was out there. But I also have a family and a career and writing - while I would love for it to be my main profession - has had to take a backseat. Also, because I am not a writer, have had no formal training, I naturally assume everything I write must be appallingly amateur.
I wanted to join this group to have meaningful discussions about format and content. Did I give enough backstory? Am I telling-not-showing? Is this dialog stilted? Is it too long? Too short? Too indulgent? Too explicit? These are questions I really don't have the experience to answer myself. I would love to have meaningful discussions with others going through similar things and into similar things.
Can't wait to meet all of you!!

My name is Eve! I'm an avid romance lover, always up for a good love story. 8 years ago I decided to pursue a childhood dream of writing and have been doing it ever since. I have my first book coming out soon and cannot wait to share it with everyone.
Absolutely love engaging with the romance community and meeting new people!

After nearly 30 years of writing in private, I finally took the plunge and published “The Real Me Because of You” (a steamy closed door rom-com with a Filipina-American lead).
As a teacher, my promo game was nonexistent since I couldn’t afford ARC’s & paid promotions/advertising. But I made a deal with both my daughter and another student that if they don’t stress about college acceptance, I’ll make a real effort in promoting my book. So here we are.
Here is my “official bio”:

I do better using film and television ratings. So I will say PG-13 or TV14: some strong language, and suggestive sexual themes but a lot to leave to the imagination.
I provide descriptions of heated kisses and some physical affection, but please do not force me to go into explicit details about what happens when they start to connect below the waist.
That being said, I am also a realist and now words and things happen, so I know for a fact that couples have sex and the young adults use foul language. But I keep that to a minimum…
