T.L. Clark (tlcauthor) | 527 comments Hey everyone,

I'm TL and I write steamy romances.
I have x5 books out (the 5th being a book with a serious message).

Broken & Damaged Love is about a CSA survivor who finds romance on her path to discovery. Written to raise awareness, offer hope and raise money for charity.

All my other offerings are far more light hearted.
Each book is stand alone and looks at love from a different angle.

Me; I have a full time job and try to fit writing in when I can.
I have a cat (but am more of a dog person).
I'm English btw.

Welcome! I love cats....and I have a dog:) He's my fur baby though and couldn't live without him. He loves to follow me around and stay attached. Still trying to convince my husband a cat would be good for us. He's not buying any version of why a cat is great.

Edit: Welcome everyone else who has recently joined:) This group is awesome!

Hi MacKayla!
Every time I hear Alaska, I think of Sandra Bullock when she gets caught in a lie and realizes she headed to Alaska. "A-laaaaa-sk-ka". One of my editors lives there. Beautiful!

T.L. Clark (tlcauthor) | 527 comments Amanda; my husband would tell yours about the 5am wakeup calls! ;-p
She's my cat (bonded with me) but she knows that 'mummy' isn't so good in the mornings so meows and paws at him. Not popular!

Dogs are far more cuddly and compliant.
Mind you, I quite like the independence of cats.

Yes, I do love the independence of a cat. I grew up with cats. We actually had one four years ago, but had to put him down right before our second child came. It was heartwrenching. My dog, Curley, got along so well with him too. Cleaning the litter box and sometimes Ollie would ruin things really got on my husband's nerves. I guess that's why he's so resistant since he's already lived through it once before. My two girls keep saying they want to get me a cat for my birthday. He's gotta give in sooner or later *grins wickedly*

In awesome sauce ^_~

Welcome, Miss TL! Sooo happy you're here!! I must make a confession, though...

I was just gonna invite you. Like, right this very second. Good thing I checked first or else that'd have been embarrassing, eh? ROFLMAO!!

Oh, and I adore both furry sides of the pet fence. However, I've owned way more cats for convenience (a.k.a. being able to leave for the weekend and not have to worry haha!)

I love writing about love too, you know the kind that makes you gush, keeps you up late at night and sometimes gets you teary. Especially when it's about two people from opposite worlds.
I'm happy to be a member of this romance love thingy.

I dislike introducing myself in a new forum. It seems a bit like standing up at an AA meeting. I suppose we could go with RA (Romance Anonymous). Ha ha. Well, here goes.
I'm Melody and I have 1 self published book with a second in the editing process. The series is Romantic Suspense. Now trying to determine if I'll write the 3rd in the series or hit pause and try something a little different. So many ideas. Any who, hiya! :)

message 131: by Martin (new)

Martin Rinehart | 14 comments Martin Rinehart, well-aged author of software how-to (15 titles) now turning his hand to romance. (I discovered Jane Austen a few years ago.)

Now finishing up a "married romance," a story in which 'I do' happened years before the story starts. I would think that in a land where half of all marriages end in divorce, this would be a huge and fertile field. Unicorns seem to outnumber married romances.

I agree with the RWA rule re romance: an emotionally satisfying, essentially optimistic ending. HEA, to be simple. Not that a great story needs a HEA, but describing a story as 'romance' sets expectations. 'Women's literature' lets readers take their chances.

Hello and welcome, Mr Martin!! I think it's awesome that you're writing a "married romance"! Gotta keep that unicorn population under control, eh? Haha! I look forward to getting your thoughts on...well...lot of stuff ^_~ Take a peek around. Start up some threads. Join us in writing some flash fiction. Ah, heck! Do whatever you want!

Hannah Davenport | 6 comments "Hello!"

Well...you did ask we say, "Hello." LoL

I've written two contemporary romances, but my true love is Paranormal Romance. Does that count? Give me a sexy alien, wolf, or vampire anytime, and I don't even care if he sparkles!

message 142: by Groovy (new)

Groovy Lee Hello, Everyone

I don't think I've ever been more excited to join a group. But Annie is so infectious, and I'm so honored that she invited me.

My name is Groovy. I'm a tennis nut who's addicted to bottled tea. I write clean, wholesome Kindle romances, romantic/suspense (where people always die) and suspense. I'm working on two romantic/suspense projects right now; one book has a mummy as an antagonist. I'm so excited about writing it.

Everyone here seems so friendly and fun. I LOVE to hug. I have a hug list. And now, Annie's the only woman on it:)

Oh--I agree with Martin about the HEA's...
