Say hello, pretty please?
Eep, DJ! How very exciting. All the very best of luck. Your adventure begins now xx
Hi also to Erin. You'll learn many things along your romance journey (and life). Enjoy the ride xx
I just had an actual sausage sarnie and a cuppa, so add the essence of those into the welcome basket here. Oh so good! :)
Have a lovely weekend everybody.
(two weeks to go til our big promo; yippeee)
Hi to all the new people!! Sorry I am late to the welcome wagon been doing last minute editing and its taken almost all my time! Hello and welcome!!!
My name is Lise Arin and I am new, new, new to Goodreads, publishing, everything. My first book (Matilda Empress) comes out March 14th, after twenty years of spectacular failure. I am thrilled to be joining the Goodreads community, and finally doing what I think I was meant to be doing all along.
Hellooooo and welcome to the pubbing world, Miss Lise!
Congrats on your first book!! You must be so stoked for next month!!! ^_^
Hugs,
Ann

I am such a newbie that it took me ten minutes to find the right reply link. I am a mix of stoked and bewildered.

I approve of this mix. Not that you need my approval for anything. I just wanted to say that.

Don't feel too bad, Lise. The reply button was a hidden gem to me too. I kept getting all OCD about if I was selecting the reply to the correct person or not. And don't get me started about direct messages!!!:)
Afternoon everyone,Erin here, finishing my first book, a twisted-romance, quasi crime story.
Undecided at the moment what genre I want to write, but no matter what it will have romance.
Looking forward to getting to know other romance writers.
Welcome, Erin! You've come to the right place for romance. We love it here, whether it's dark, light, heavy, semi. Yay for romance! *hands out goodie basket*

Welcome Erin! :D *gives you hot chocolate and a candy-cane* Yes, I still have some.Wow, a lot can happen in a couple months. I've been pretty much hiding under a rock while I write and inquire publishers. My PA (slash-best friend-slash-crush) is keeping me in check and making sure I have a backbone. If none of these pubs want my work, I'm going indie. I've got what it takes.

Hiya, Erin! (❛‿❛✿̶̥̥)
Your book sounds super interesting!
Hello. My name is Alyssa. I've been reading romances since I could hold a book (and sneaking them under the covers). Lol. I've tried just about every romance genre (with a few personal choice exceptions). I write historical romantic suspense novels (love & murder in 1850's England). My second book will be published this April. I'm also branching out into paranormal romance, which has been an interesting change for me. Happy to meet all of you.

So exciting to try writing a different genre!! Its fun to try new things and challenge yourself!
Ooooh, historical suspense! Methinks that's a new flavor for us ^_~

Hey everyone. My name is Christina. I am from the central coast of Australia. I'm in the process of publishing book number two in my first series. I write...well I don't know to be sure. I struggle with that question. Romance with rude bits lol. They are sad, funny, a bit dark at times and a bit naughty. I like strong normal women. They don't have to be super human. I like flawed characters that seem like real people.
Both of mine have happy endings, but I toyed with the idea of not so happy.
I look forward to scrolling through and checking out all the posts.
xx
Helloooo, Miss Christina!
Welcome to the lovey dovey craziness! Congrats on book one and soon-to-be book two!!
Hugs,
Ann
P.S. If you're for flaws and darkness then you're in good company. Trust me ^_~

Good to know! Nothing more perfect than imperfection.
Hello All,I'm Julie. Currently working on my second novel, but nothing published yet.
I like everywoman protags who have to fight against sinister forces, kind of like women everywhere every day:) My books are romance-ish because I am mindful that my heroines are not "rescued." I love elements of fantasy.
Can't wait to get involved in this group!
Cheers,
Julie

Hi there ladies! So awesome to have you. We are a very friendly bunch so I hope to see you around here often. :)
Hi!!!I'm Tiara. I write romance. My preferred areas are YA and NA (I just learned that this was my niche). I may err on the side of fantasy because I do enjoy fantasy as well but it will most likely stay in that YA or NA age range. But I read all romance.
I haven't published anything. I would love to but I'm semi terrified of the process. I'm currently on the third draft of a book that I've been writing. I'm also in college so I'm at that point where I'm freaking out about what day job I want to go for lol.
It's nice to meet everyone!

Don't be afraid of the publishing process, its a learning process, but there are plenty of people here who can offer advice!!
Welcome, Tiara! You will learn lots here...and find encouragement in all aspects of writing:) *hands out goodie basket*
