Hi everyone! I've just joined the group and I thought I'd introduce myself.
I'm an Aussie author who write romantic suspense with a hint of humour. They're a bit psychological thriller, a bit crime & mystery, and a lot of fun (except for my victims :( )
My hubby describes my stories best, so I'll use his words:
'Michelle makes people fall in love, kills a character or two along the way, but there's always a happy ending'
My first book, Lethal in Love, came out with Penguin Random House in 2014, and I'm giving self-pubbing a go this time round, with my second book, Murder Most Unusual. I'm loving it, but there are times I feel as if I'm wading through a vat of mud! Definitely not getting anywhere in a hurry! Still, I'll get there! Determination will see me through :)

Lol!Thanks for the welcome Ann. It's great to be part of a group who's doing what I'm very nervously doing. Self-pubbing feels so liberating, but there's also that side-thought of 'what if I stuff it up?'

Aww Michelle, there's no such thing as stuffing up. There are merely lessons to learn. Over the past 4 years I've learned some big lessons. It's all part of life xx

do NOT use Createspace to publish your paperback and expect big UK stores to be able to stock it!! :-/
(even after jumping through their hoops!)
Apparently UK bookstores have even more hoops, and these ones are even harder to jump through. :(

btw Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway changed my life. It really helped young me to 'grow a pair' ;p
It even helped me self-publish. I was scared, but that phrase was still there all these years later. <3

Me too!
FTF is a mantra I use constantly when I feel as if I want to go the easy track. Writing a book and sending it out into the world was definitely NOT an easy track!
