Thanks, Mistress A! Holidays and illnesses are no joke. First year without flu shot. Big mistake.
Not sure what they've been feeding you...I'm having wine for dessert tonight. But I'd eat chocolate cake instead if given the chance. ;)
Welcome back Cass!I agree that holidays and illnesses are no joke. Sorry you had the flu. I actually saw 2 patients with it today.
*Bakes amazing chocolate cake for the entire group*
Eat up everyone! Happy Saturday ; )

Thanks, J! Everyone around me is ill. I feel like I need a shower to go in and out of the house. Dampens my attempts to finish book #2. At least I'm eating solid food. Mmmm, chocolate cake...

Why settle for one when you can have them both? Wine and chocolate so decadent.
LOL: John Daly the golfer would have miller lite instead of milk on his Cornflakes, but wine for breakfast! I will have to try.
Hey, we're all quiet again. I hope you're all having a great time preparing for Christmas.
I'm writing as well as busying myself with festive stuff.
Just wanted to say hi (*waves*)
Right, back to it.
Ooh...someone supplied mulled wine and mince pies (*yoink*) ;p
Holidays are busy for selling and consuming wine! In between I have taken on biggest challenge yet in my world of writing. Adapting my first novel to a screenplay. Asked Santa to bring me Final Draft software for under the tree. Some of your mince pies would also be nice.
I have just started a new thread for it in the group. Its so weird to read a script and nothing like writing a romance novel. However, I get it. Well hopefully. Need wine LOL
Can't give you the software and I dont know how to cook mince pies, but got some snickerdoodles headed your way!
Just gonna leave this cutie pie here...

P.S. - Snickerdoodles are cinnamon-ey sugar? (resident bakers, please correct me if I'm wrong) cookies. And they are delicious...
*drools on self*

Hi Everyone,I will be publishing my first contemporary/new adult romance novel in February 2017. It's called Lives Collide. I love anything romance because I need a happy ending. Kristina Beck is my pen name. I'm American and live in Germany. I can speak pretty good German. Anyone else living in Germany?
I look forward to connect with other romance writers/readers.

Thank you. Where did you go when you were here? I love living here. It is really beautiful. I feel far away from everyone so I'm happy to have found this group. Enjoy your coffee. I'm off to make my own...late afternoon coffee.

We flew into Frankfurt, spent a little time there, also went to Berlin, the Black Forest area, visited the Neuschwanstein Castle (which was my favorite by far), a bunch of other little cities as we drove almost in a big circle around the country. We also stopped in Paris, France, then went to Salzburg, Austria where they filmed the Sound of Music, and then went to Prague, Czech Republic. Once done there, we swung back to Germany. It was a lot of fun and the two weeks went very fast. I would love to go back to Europe some day:)
Oooh guten tag Kristina. I went to Weil am Rhein years ago. I love Germany as a whole. <3
You join us at a very exciting time in your life.
All the very best of luck with your 1st book.
(*hands out gluhwein and zimsterne*)

It was great. The castle is awesome. We will be vacationing near Salzburg in June. I'm tempted to do the SOM tour with my kids. Or at least my daughters. They would appreciate it more.

That's funny. I'm about 25 minutes from there. That is a random place in Germany to visit. A lot of people live there and work in Basel. It's very international.
There is plenty of gluhwein around here. The Christmas markets are awesome. Thanks for the welcome!
Helloooo, Miss Kristina!!
Sorry for the late welcome! I keep missing comments for some odd reason. But, this group is so darn awesome that you've already been inducted into the clan ^_~

Hi to all the new people! Sorry I have been getting some much needed writing done so I haven't been on here but just wanted to say welcome!! :)

Hi Jane! It's definitely a country to visit. Germans love to speak English so it is easy to get around. Even though I have been here for almost 13 years, there is still so much to see for such a tiny country compared to the US. Definitely put it on your list for destinations. Have a merry Christmas!
Hi, everyone,I joined this group about two weeks ago and have been getting my groove on. I'm Abby, and I write passionate and playful contemporary romance. My last book was out in 2014 - I do not write fast, especially with working and two teens at home. My ultimate goal is to be in a bookstore, so I'm doing the traditional route.
It's nice to meet all of you!
Helloooo, Miss Abby!
So happy you've been grooving cuz I mean, who doesn't like to groove, eh? ^_~ I look forward to following your trad pub journey!!
Hugs,
Ann

Ooh good luck Abby xxPlease do keep us updated on your progress.
I'm self pub but will hopefully be in a bookstore soon. Just need to get myself well enough to venture into town. :)
I was thinking a snicker bar deep fried! We have Scotland to thank for a Mars bar fried in deep fat. Delicious. Why not snicker doddle doodles?
I have never tried deep frying snickerdoodles lol I don't really think they would stand up in a fryer! Lol but they might! Not really into the whole deep frying thing myself! I have heard of deep fried snickers but never tried them!
Hello Everyone I'm Nalla Xavier. I'm a newbie to the writing world but I've been reading since birth lol. I write contemporary romance novels. Hello and welcome, Miss Nalla!!
1. Love your pen name!
2. I'm totally on your wavelength with the bad boy alphas. Well...
Minus the fact that I kinda dig when the villain stays rotten to the core and still gets the girl *smirks*
Big hugs,
Ann
