Welcome, Sarah! (✿◠‿◠)
Hi! I’ve been getting a lot of help with a cover here, so I guess I should properly introduce myself. I'm Winifred Morris--you can call me Winnie if you'd like. I write romantic comedies with thriller elements. I’d like to call them comic romantic suspense, but Amazon, and other pros, tell me there’s no such genre. Go figure. I’ve also been told there’s no such thing as a comic women’s book, which I’ve also written. I’m afraid I have a problem fitting into the right holes. I’ve done some YA too and even kid books, but that was in another lifetime. This is a fun group! So glad to meet all of you!
Hi, Winnie! Welcome to the group. I say there's nothing that says you gotta do what everyone else is. Being different is awesome:) I've written romantic suspense with some humor in it. Or maybe it's just me that likes to laugh at it. seriously, I'll be writing and laugh so hard cuz I just find it so funny. My husband looks at me funny like I'm crazy. It's fun to be different. *smiles*
Hello and welcome, Miss Winnie! Nice to "officially" meet ya!!
Yeah, I'm totally with Queen Amanda on this one. Different is awesome, weird is wonderful, and surprising readers is just the best jam out there ^_~
Hugs,
Ann

Welcome, Winnie (I like your name)I agree with everybody, there just isn't one genre you can put your books in anymore. I'm on a project now that could be romantic/suspense, but it has a mummy and visitors from outer space in it. When it's done, I'm going to need help fitting it into the right hole. So, get prepared everyone with your answers.
Anyway, you're going to have a lot of fun here; and a lot of snacks!

I like being different too, its much more fun!
Greetings! I'm Cass Alexander. I released my first book recently. It's a romance in a college setting. It's also a comedy. Well, I laughed when I re-read it, but I'm pretty easily entertained and I tend to laugh during life's inappropriate moments. Let's call it a coping mechanism and convince my mother it's a legit way to handle things.I'm new to this and I'm hoping to hide it ... I mean to learn as much as I can. Oh, and I must be ancient because the only emoji I can make is the ;)

We all were at one time, and trust me, I still need answers to things. I learn something new all the time about this business. That's why we're all here together, to help one another. *smiles*
*hands out treats galore* Eat it quick because people will snatch it right away. *chuckles*
And here's a great place to get some emoji's that Princess Jane showed me (because yeah, I was pretty clueless at first as well *grins*)

I'm having faith we won't lose power. Cuz I really, really don't want that to happen. A newborn and all....*crosses fingers and toes*
Hey Winnie; sorry I missed you saying hello. But there is SO a romantic suspense category.
I know, as one of mine is in it.
And even Amazon recognises the sub-genre (look on the left of this page):

Being different is super awesome though.
All the best people are mad, according to a rather famous cat ;-p
Welcome too to Cass.
I've been on the self-pub pony for over 3 years. And I just learned something new today too. And am generally a bit clueless about emojis without the little smiley pics (which gr isn't compatible with).
Welcome, welcome.
(*hands round an empty plate*) (*brushes off crumbs from top*)
Ooops! I totally didn't see Miss Cass sneak in...
*waves frantically*
Helloooo and welcome!!!
Hugs,
Ann
P.S. - Stay safe, Miss Mary Ellen!

Holy crow! Stay safe!!! I was trapped in my house for a week with a newborn during a blizzard. You'll make it through. My thoughts and prayers are with you all!
Thanks, everyone. I've got faith the power will stay good. If it goes out...the heat.... yeah, that's what I'm worried about. Positive thinking :)

OMG I saw pictures from Haiti overnight. And Jacksonville is coming up next. Actually getting really worried. This is looking like a bad bad storm. Floridian friends (and surrounding areas) I pray you stay safe xx
Yes, the coast got hit hard and I pray for everyone there. It doesn't appear it got too bad here in the Orlando area. It's windy and raining, but it's nothing like they predicted. Thankfully. The power did flicker out, but came back on. Mary Ellen, hope you didn't lose power and stayed safe.
Hi, I'm Ava and new to self publishing, I put out a four part serial romance a couple of months ago and am finishing up a standalone spin off novel soon. I hope I can add something to this group. Thanks for having me.
Welcome new people that I missed (sorry about that) and welcome Ava! This is by far and away the best, most supportive group ever so you're in good hands here.

He still doesn't think I'm cool.
