I actually totally plan to actually bake some more cookies this week, I was thinking of going with these awesome chocolate with chocolate chips cookies! They're delicious and I haven't made them in ages!
Hey newbies (*waves all friendly like*) xxMmmm...real cookies...! <3
(*nicks a virtual cinnamon whirl as she passes by this thread*)
About to reveal my new cover for Destiny but thought I would swing by, say hey to the newbies... and grab these cookies Mistress has made... Oh, these are good! (Whole tray is hidden in my backpack) So, see ya guys later! (exits with the goods)
Hi all! I'm Jack. I write dark romance starring outsiders. I gravitate towards the historical and new adult subgenres.
My most recent project is a contemporary NA romance about a supermodel who falls in love with a blind horticulturist. It's planned to be a series of novelettes. The first one is called Model Behavior.
Model Behavior
I also have a historical romance project that is in revision limbo. It needs a lot of work but if Victorian romance with a paranormal flair is your gig, you will adore BIENVENUE (tentatively re-titled Ghost and Gears).
Bienvenue: Episodes 1, 2, & 3
Ok my awkward intro is over... thanks for letting me join the group! I hope to make friends with plenty of other hopeless romantics like myself! <3

Hahaha, Jack! I'm with you on the chocolate!! I am a total chocoholic!! I'm actually going to bake chocolate with chocolate chip cookies later today!!
Gooble gobble gooble gobble!?! :D
I feel there's a stereotype we're fulfilling by being romance-obsessed and also chocoholics but I can't quite put a finger on it and... OH MY GOD CHOCOLATE COOKIES :'3 Yaaaas!
"Later today"... you must be on the other side of the world from me cause it's 10PM where I am. Unless you're a night-owl baker, which would also be amazing. I can't seem to get the motivation to do much of anything but netflix and writing once it gets dark out.

Welcome Susan and Jack! You've just landed in the very fun, and very friendly land of Romance Writers & Readers. And as you can see, they love to bake. Is there another tray of cookies coming up soon? I didn't get any of the last ones! Somebody here keeps swoopin' them up!
Jack wrote: "@Jane Between all the mods in different time zones, this group has 24 hour moderator vigilance! haha"Haha! Queen Amanda usually is just getting up when I'm going to bed, and well Mistress Ann practically never sleeps so she's pretty much always around!!
@Groovy You can have one of my welcome cookies to tide you over until Jane bakes hers <3

Hello there. I am both a reader and writer of romance. My favorite sub-genres are contemporary, military (mostly Civil War and Iraq/Afghanistan), second chances, small town, and historical though I'm mostly Victorian and not Regency. I generally do not read fantasy (not a fan of vampires or werewolves) or anything with the word billionaire or navy seal in the title since I think both are overdone. I write both historical and contemporary romance. My heroes are always military or veterans, usually damaged. My books, though not erotica, are adult material. I have samples posted from both my historical and contemporary series, in the writing section of Goodreads if anyone is interested.
Glad to have found this group.

It is a crucial part of the creative process. As an independent contractor would write off brick and mortar, so a writer can write off caffeine and sugar <3

Hello. Spent the last year writing a romance novel. It is at that place where if I could get the last 2% done, it could launch. That last 2% is stubbornly refusing to cooperate. I was surprised by the reflection and self analysis that was required to get through writing this book. To paraphrase Juice Newton, "I have given and I have taken many rides of troubled shores." Remembering and reliving all the joy and heartache added months to the writing process.
I wasn't sure, but is baking a prerequisite to joining this group? I don't bake, but I am an avid consumer.
