We haven't picked one yet. Our options seem to be: The Pope Who Quit: A True Medieval Tale of Mystery, Death, and Salvation
After the Parade
American Nations: A History of the Eleven Rival Regional Cultures of North America
The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks
The Girls
Forty Acres
Time and meeting place: I'll throw out Thursday, September 22, at O'Toole's, or Crossroads, or Triple Crossing, or wherever. 7pm?
All the books seem interesting and different; Henrietta and the Pope book would be my top choices, but all sound good (I'm kinda "eh" about 40 Acres--even though I suggested it). Triple Crossing sounds awesome and it's usually quiet on Mondays and Wednesdays. My only request is that we avoid Thursdays if at all possible, I can make it work but it's generally a harder day for me.
I'm a has-not-yet-participated person who'd like to put in a vote for AMERICAN NATIONS. When/where will the final decision be announced? I just checked the most recent thread and nothing'd been settled yet. (Sorry, I really am new to this.)
I'm fine with The Girls.Does Wednesday, September 21 (or the 28th) at 7pm work for most people? I realized that Thursdays aren't great for me either.

I'm into it (either date).
Is THE GIRLS the settled pick? I'd like to get my copy ASAP.
Let's make the exec decision - THE GIRLS it is! Sept. 21 would be fabulous. And just about time for pumpkin beer.
