Is there a way for me to put my latest book at the top of the list of books in my author page? I tried sorting the list by original publication year, but the latest book is still at the bottom of the list.
https://www.goodreads.com/author/list...

How do I make my book appear at the top of the list so my readers can find it?

lethe | 16372 comments How did you get the sort on original publication year to stick? I thought the default was ratings/popularity. Was that changed recently?

Dennis | 7 comments Thank you very much, Emy.

Lethe, I don't think the original publication year sticks, I'm afraid. I think it only sticks when you are the author and you set it to view according to publication date. But if I go to my Author Page, such as this one: https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...
I still don't see the latest book on the top of the list.

Emy, is there a way to fix this so members don't have to scroll down and click on "More books by Dennis Smith" to get to my latest book?

Paula (paulaan) | 7014 comments The first book to display on that page is is by the one most shelved/reviewed by users. There is no way to change this

lethe | 16372 comments Well, at least it sticks on the author list. Interesting, I didn't know that. I thought it was 'most shelved' until a user would change it for themselves.

Well, it sticks for a link that includes that sort information, like this one. It doesn't otherwise.

It does/did. I removed it from the link and still the original pub year sort showed up. Then I went to the author's page, clicked on 'More books' and they were sorted on original pub year. I checked the URL and the sort info wasn't there. It only changed when I manually changed to 'popularity'.

ETA I tried it again just now, using the link in comment #1, removing the sort info, going to the author's page, clicking on 'More books' (link: https://www.goodreads.com/author/list...) and the page shows up sorted on 'original publication year'.

It will remember your last sort for the length of a browser session.

lethe | 16372 comments Ah, OK. I guess I was surprised because I hadn't actively picked that sort from the drop-down menu.

Dennis | 7 comments Thank you all for your help. You can tell I'm not that tech savvy. But that's the technology age gap for you.
