SOLVED. Historical fiction, involving unicorns and tapestries. [s]

I am trying to find a book I read maybe ten years ago or so. It was a novel about a woman who is researching family history or something similar, and the unicorn tapestries that are in the Cloisters in NYC are involved.

It was not supernatural/sci fi-fantasy, it was not part of a series, and it was not The Lady and the Unicorn by Tracy Chevalier. I am stumped!!

I am fairly certain it was set in the present. There may have been some back and forth with chapters taking place when the tapestries were made, but not in the time travel sense.
