Expect to be challenged. It's not an easy read, but it I found it to be very rewarding.

The group discussions here helped me a lot, but I'm probably biased on that point.

Patience is rewarded handsomely.

DangerBin | 64 comments Great series, maybe the best. It became even better one I started following along with the group read (much later).

Rereading the whole series now, that should tell you something.

Cody it is a very good series, I am about half way through and it is probably my favourite, I am recommending it to everyone to the point of giving it as presents for Christmas.

One thing I would suggest is not to power through it, last year I read the first 4 books in a couple of months and I had to stop.

These books are not easy reading (SE confirms this in the preface to GoTM) and even though I loved them I became jaded.

I now tend to read one of them and then a few books that are easier to read ( I finished midnight tides early to mid jan and am now finishing the second Black Company trilogy)

I have asked on here and others have had this issue
