Megan Hi everyone,

For those here in the Goodreads world who have an online blog, what websites do you use or prefer?

I am working on a blog on Wordpress, but it seems somewhat difficult to master. I'm having a hard time including images in my posts. The text wraps around the image and it is either too big or small.

Let me know what everyone prefers and uses. Which blogging site would you recommend for me? I want to create a book review blog (with some other posts) and would like something simple to start and be able to create.

Jacqueline Driggers (jacquelined) Well, I use blogger for my book review blog. I like blogger a lot, as it's fairly simple to set up a nice looking site. Here's the link to mine if you want to check it out:

I tried wordpress and didn't like it, my blog is on blogger. I am getting better with it, and I can post images, change my fonts, schedule posts ect. I'm still not the best at it but its works for me. Wordpress I struggled a lot trying to format my posts and post images.

Here is my blog

the last two posts I had a bit of a problem with but I think mainly it was more the html info I was given. I suppose I could go fix it but I just ran out of time. My previous posts are a lot better. lol

Megan I may try switching to blogger and see how that goes. I'm having a hard time with Wordpress for some reason.

Can anyone else recommend any other free blog sites? I'm interested in starting a blog and would like a good website to use.

Brit (shewouldread) I'm telling you, Megan. Squarespace is way more beautiful and way more professional and WAY more intuitive for formatting and scheduling. They don't even have an affiliate program. I'm saying this because it's true.

It's like $12/month plus you get a domain and you can get 10% off with the code GIMME10. That's about 3 lattes a month you could sacrifice instead of sacrificing your time and sanity on the altar of Wordpress or Blogger. Just saying.

Brit (shewouldread) Hey Tim,

I don't have that problem. My GR posts translates really well to my SS Blog.

I had the same problem on WP which is why I switched. I don't think the issue is GR.
