Eli kept up, staying just a bit behind her.

Eli stopped when she did and looked ahead. He bit his lip lightly, studying the grouping of tents and a couple buildings.
"You should go check it out first, you're much better at fighting than me, and we might need to fight." She said, nudging him.
Eli rolled his eyes and walked toward the camp, grabbing his gun and carrying it in one hand down at his side.
Ella followed him, nothing her lip. She had never discovered civilization with buildings, people she had seen always moved around.
Eli looked around carefully, watching for people or movement. He walked toward one of the buildings.
Ella stayed behind, watching him. She fixed her hair, knowing it didn't really matter, but her mind told her she wanted to look semi decent in front of strangers.
Ella's curiosity got the best of her and she ran up to him. "That building looks big," she said softly, pointing, "there may be people there."
"I know. That's why I"m being quiet and listening. You don't want to piss people off right away and scare them. Unless you wanna get shot.' He shrugged.
"Jeez, sorry, Mr. I'm Better Than You. I'll not bother you anymore," she said, crossing her arms and rolling her eyes.
Ella didn't know what to do, but she was sure she saw someone flash by a random window. She bit her lip.
((Yeah, sure.)A man walked out of the door, confused to see the two people standing there. He didn't know whether they were nice or not, but at the sight of the gun, he was ready to run. "Hello," he said cautiously.
Ella didn't say anything, wary. "What brings you here?" Said the man. The civilized camp thing was open to all strangers, as long as they weren't bringing harm to others.
"We were camped down by the river and were exploring around. We saw your settlement and were curious..." Eli explained calmly, arms at his sides, showing he wasn't a threat.
"Alright, well, you two aren't threats, looks like. Here follow me." He said, leading them to the building in the middle of the village, where the ruler, so to speak, of the village was. Ella stayed close to Eli, still nervous.
