"Go ahead. It's not like I have anybody for me anyways." She said, rolling her eyes.
She scowled, shutting up. She felt a little guilty, but he was being mean too.
Ella didn't know what to do, so she sat down again, frustrated.
She didn't want to say sorry again. "Are you okay?" She asked, unable to take the silence.
Ella sighed and bit her lip. She looked up at him.
Ella didn't know what to say, he wasn't responding.
It took Eli a few more minutes to calm down
Ella looked up at him, somewhat annoyed.
"No, I was totally grinding your gears. My fault," she said.
"Well, that was the first time you've ever said sorry to me."
Eli didn't say anything, not knowing what to say
She became quiet as well, sighing. "Sorry for not shutting up and making you mad."
Eli shrugged. Biting his lip lightly.
She sighed, standing again. Ella looked at him carefully.
Eli was lost inside his own thoughts. He heard what she said but didn't have anything to say to it.
Ella stood by him, silent. She stared at her feet, feeling bottled up.
Eli ran a hand through his hair, sighing.
"Okay, well, I feel bad about being a jerk about your parents and your brother. I'm sure your brother was lovely, and that you two were really close, you just made me so mad. Also, about your parents, are you okay?" She said, talking fast.
"Whatever." He mumbled softly, looking around.
"Eli, really. I feel terrible. Sorry," she said.
"Whatever. You chose to say that so you must've at least kinda meant it.." He mumbled coldly.
She opened her mouth to say something and closed it. "Yeah, you were going to punch me, so..."
"I wasn't actually going to." He mumbled.
"You could've. But I bet my brother punched harder," she said, laughing. She found it easier to laugh things off.
"Kinda is. The past is the past. He's dead now, nothing I can do." She said, shrugging.
"It's true! It does you no good to dwell on the past," she said.
"Well. The future doesn't seem that nice to focus on either..."
"Live in the moment. Now is now, take the chances. Go with the flow," she said, smiling.
"Stop it. Even if it's not what you believe in, don't shame my way of thinking," she said.
"I'm not shaming your way of thinking. I just don't happen to agree with it.."
"What do you think then? I dunno, kinda looked like you were."
Eli sighed. "Are you gonna complain about every single thing I do?" he muttered.
"Probably, knowing me. Anyways, do you prefer to think things out? To hold on to grudges?" She asked. She was pretty pissed about him, but she tried to brush it off.
"Depends on the situation." he shrugged.
"My brother is gone, so there's really no point in dwelling on it." She said, frowning.
Eli sighed and rolled his eyes. "Okay.."
"Easier to laugh things off anyways." She said, rubbing her eye cause it itches.
"Not always but okay." He simply shrugged.
Ella looked at him, frowning. "You said something about your parents earlier, and you sounded really upset.." she said.
