Eli sighed. "none of this will make a good story.."

She bit her lip. "I'll tell one," she offered, looking at him.
"Alright. I was in sixth grade, I think. My brother, James was in ninth. And my sister, Hannah, was in fourth. James was dating this one girl, and she was really sweet. I forgot her name, but she had the prettiest blonde hair and these gorgeous eyes. Me and Hannah were doing our homework upstairs, when his girlfriend barged in and she was like, holding a makeup bag. She gave us both makeovers and then took us out, and James was super happy back then, so he walked with us to get ice cream and he kept calling is cute and I loved it so much. They were together all through high school, but then James became a jerk, so they broke up," she said, biting her lip.
Eli smiled lightly as he listened to her story.
"See, tell me down thing like that," she said, watching him.
Eli nodded. He thought for a moment, unsure what to tell her.
"This used to be a game. This whole world was a game." Eli mumbled, not realizing he spoke aloud.
She bit her lip. "What do you mean?" She asked softly.
"My little brother Luke was autistic. He didn't get what was happening so I made this into a game." He explained softly.
She watched him, curious. She didn't say anything, wanting him to go on. She was surprised that he could have a sweet side.
"The game was in stages, We had to reach certain places by certain times. Bad things were sent from the game masters to challenge us and tell us we were going the right way.... It made more sense to him, kept him from getting as scared."
She looked at him, interested. Ella almost wanted to give him a hug for being so nice to his brother.
"The timer scared him. He'd see it counting down and freak out, thinking something bad was gonna happen. That's why it's wrapped...."
"Now my story sounds stupid," she said, sighing.
"Yeah, it was pretty dumb. Anyways, that was really sweet. Dammit, now I want to meet him." She said, sighing.
"It sounds normal. Something that I never reAlly had..." Sli shrugged.
She bit her lip, nodding. "I feel terrible, my life was super easy compared to yours. I never took care of anybody, my brother did that."
"So? We each live in different situations.. I wouldn't trade what I had for a more normal life..."
"Maybe that's why I'm so "oblivious," huh? I've been pretty sheltered." She said softly.
She yawned, shaking her head. "So, you aren't sleeping?"
"I don't wanna sleep and leave you alone, though." She said, shrugging.
"Nope, I'm staying up. Fair warning, though, I can get deep when I'm tired," she said, laughing.
Eli glanced over at her
"You have nice eyes," she said, just noticing them.
"What was your favorite thing to draw?"
Eli shrugged. "I don't really know..."
She crossed her arms. "Really? Was it people? Um, nature?"
"I'd draw a lot about Luke's game..." He shrugged not
"Aw, really? That's sweet. If it's not too personal, how did he die?"
Eli shook his head and didn't answer.
"Sorry," she said, softly, biting her lip.
She sighed. "I'm sorry," she said again.
She nodded, smiling slightly. "Won't happen again." She said.
