Eli glanced over at her.

She wiped her nose on her shirt sleeve, not caring Eli could've seen.
She bit her lip, hating how it was silent.
Eli ran a hand through his hair before moving to rewrap his wrist.
She watched him. "Why are you wrapping it again?" She asked softly, biting her lip.
"My brother hated it..." Eli sighed softly.
"Yeah?" She asked, encouraging him to continue.
Eli sighed softly. Unsure if he wanted to explain
"Don't tell me if you don't wanna, I get it," she said, smiling at him.
"Shut up. You have no reason to be sorry, jesus. Don't say sorry again, it's annoying," she said.
"Wait, that was rude. It's just that you don't have anything to be sorry for, so don't say it."
She shut up, biting her lip. She was doing it again, talking when no one cared.
She got up. "I'm gonna go," she said, turning. She had gone down a stroll down memory lane, and her chat with Eli was so similar to ones she had with her brother. She walked briskly, stopping when she reached her campsite.
"Okay." Eli sighed and watched her walk away
She sank down, knowing she couldn't cry. She wasn't sad, she was really mad, at life in general.
Eli stayed by the river. Not wanting to go back to his camp or anything
She calmed down a little. She wasn't in the mood for anything.
Eli sighed softly, looking up at the sky.
Ella sighed, wanting Eli to be there, but not wanting to ask.
Eli stayed there, listening to the water.
She knew she wasn't that far. "Eli, come here," she called, desperate to talk to someone.
"Because I want to talk to someone, and you're the only someone I know." She replied.
"So I should just come over there after you left?"
"Fine, leave me all alone then, you heartless beast."
"You're the one who's been treating me rudely so just why should I be nice?"
"How have I been rude?" She asked, feeling bad now.
Eli sighed. "Seriously? Are you this oblivious?"
"Yes, yes I am, now please tell me how I've been rude," she said, mad.
"You get upset and storm off from me when I haven't done anything. Then you act like I'm the one who's been mean to you."
She didn't say anything, because he was telling the truth. "Fine." She said, closing her eyes and taking a deep breath.
Ella hummed softly, hating the silence.
Eli guessed she was upset now but didn't plan on doing anything about it right now. He watched the river, thinking.
She drummed out a beat on her legs, still humming. Her hair was slightly wet, so she pulled it out of the braids to dry more.
She frowned, looking down at her timer. Could she ever like Eli? Probably not.
She sighed. He was cute, she's admit, but their personalities seemed to clash.
Eli threw rocks into the river, smiling faintly.
She bit her lip. Her brother would've told her to man up, and get over herself. There was no way he could like her, or vice versa.
