She watched him, furrowing her eyebrows.
She shook her head. "Nothing," she mumbled, looking away.
She shrugged. "You just.. Looked like my brother for a moment. It's silly," she said.
"Kind of silly. He's long gone." She said.
"So I'm being stupid?" She said, crossing her arms.
"No, you aren't. I still think I see my little brother all the time.."
"Yeah, but my brother was a jerk, but I miss him more than my parents. I'm a bad person," she said, looking at him.
"Whatever. I'm not gonna stand here and argue." Eli turned to walk to the river.
She shrugged, not saying anything. She headed off back to her campsite.
Eli sighed in annoyance. Looking around.
She turned to look at him. "Make sure you wash the wound out properly," she said, turning again.
"It's not like I haven't been hurt before." He reminded her
"Whatever," she said, beginning to walk back.
Eli muttered something, walking to the river
She rubbed at her eyes, not wanting to cry after thinking about her brother.
Eli looked around, thinking. He set his stuff at the rive before pulling off his shirt.
She slumped down against a tree, blinking so she wouldn't cry. It didn't work, and she felt tears prickling her eyes.
She bit her lip, tears beginning to fall. She wiped at them angrily, mad she had even thought about him.
Eli focused. He cleaned the wound and wrapped it up again
She stood up, tears still flowing. She kept wiping at them, eventually stopping.
He didn't think about anything except taking care of the wound at the moment.
She knew her nose was going to look like she had cried. Sighing, she sat back down again.
Eli pulled his shirt back on before glancing at the bandage on his wrist.
She wiped her nose, her eyes still damp with unshed tears.
Ella sniffled, groaning. She wanted to stop crying, cause it made her feel terrible.
Eli frowned, looking at the timer. "Well, was it her?" He mumbled softly.
Ella thought about happy things. She had a list from when she was younger that she had memorized. It was kind of empty, especially with the timer thing gone.
Eli gently ran his thumb across the timer. Thinking.
She looked down at her timer, scowling. She felt tears rising again. Once she started, it was hard to stop.
Eli knew that it had to have been Ella, but he didn't know what to do about it.
She buried her face in her hands, tears returning.
Eli looked around the riverside, talking to himself.
Ella stood up, grabbing her stuff. She was going to go walk around for a bit.
Eli kept talking, hoping she wouldn't hear him
She heard a voice. "Eli?" She asked, knowing she was near the river.
Eli didn't hear her. Still talking to himself.
She didn't want to see him, not knowing if he was clothed or not. "Eli?" She said louder.
Eli sighed softly, hearing her voice but not answering.
She frowned. "Okay, well, I'm going then.." She said, biting her lip.
Eli kept talking to himself, not caring if she heard
She stopped. "You wearing clothes?" She asked, wanting to go over to him. She remembered she probably looked like she had just cried, but she shrugged it off.
"Well, yeah." He replied. Rolling his eyes
"Shut up," she said, sitting by him. She noticed his wrist was unwrapped.
