Character Creation
Just look up 1940s on Pinterest or google images and I think you'll get a general idea ;) World War II happened in the 40s
I think WWII was the only thing I knew about the 1940s. xD I looked up a few photos and I've got a general idea, but I might get a little lost sometimes, knowing me. I'll create some characters. Is this going to be a romance?

Era: 1940s
Appearance: Average height, strawberry blonde hair, blue eyes.
Personality: Somewhat shy, friendly, and a bit sensitive. She doesn't get angry very easily, but when she is, her temper gets her into trouble.
Job: Nurse
Family Living/Dead: Mother (Margaret Campbell, alive), Father (Richard Campbell, alive) Brother (Ray Campbell, alive)
Other: Rosemary never really had friends while growing up. She spent most of her childhood with her mother. Rosemary's father and older brother are in the military. Rosemary always felt compassion for those who were sick and injured, so she decided to become a nurse.
Nice!! Sorry it's taking me so long to post my character. I was busy with school and wanted to perfect his description before I posted. I'll probably have it up by the end of the day.

Personality: witty. Serious. Deep sense of pride.
Impressions: he comes off as a geek. Other men give him a hard time about not fighting in the war.

Strengths: his sharp wit and he's easy to get along with, laid back
Weaknesses: his pride and his limp
Family Living/Dead: He lives with his parents, Jaqueline and Ronald. He has two younger siblings, Scott (15), and Lena (12). Neither of his parents are Christians and neither are his siblings.
People Relations: He's pretty close to his parents and siblings. He has a best friend named Harry. He really looks up to his employer, Mr. Avery Whitman, who told him about God.
Important Past Moments: He got into a car accident a year ago and injured his leg. It left him with a permanent limp and because of it he couldn't be enlisted into the war. That was his biggest regret.

Apperance: Tall, petite large blue eyes. Her left eye has a freckle in it that takes up half of her eye. She has long wavy blonde hair.
Personality : She is very caring and kind but she is very shy. She doesn't like to talk to many people but when she does its only to get close friend Abigail Speers.
Family Dead/Alive: Mother and father are both dead. Her mother died from yellow fever and her dad died from a broken heart. She had no siblings or other relatives.
Status: Middle or high middle

Backstory: She was lucky to have a family with strong faith. She was the only child and her parents loved her dearly. But then one faithful day when she was eight years old her mother caught the yellow fever and died only a month later. Her father had never been the same. He walked around the house at night and she heard him cry. Awful cried. then one night he died from grief and she was left all alone. The put her in an orphanage where she met Abigail and they became best friends almost instantly. She still works there but she's going to school to he a nurse so she can help others.
Time Period: 1850s

Personality: Casual. She isn't shy, but she doesn't like to talk to new people. She's happy and out-going most of the time. She doesn't get angry very often. But when she is, she stops speaking to the person she's angry with.
Job: None, unless babysitting the neighbors' children counts.

Backstory: When Tessa was just a baby, she and her family got into a vehicle accident. Miraculously, she wasn't injured, but her parents weren't so lucky. They died immediately.
There was no other family to take care of Tessa, so she spent a few short months in an orphanage until she was adopted by the Everetts. Tessa was so young when this happened, she doesn't even remember being in the orphanage. She believes that Josh and Ruth are her biological parents. They never told her the truth about her real family.
Tessa's non-biological parents aren't Christians, so she's never had the opportunity to learn about Christ.

Personality: He comes off as being arrogant and rude but deep done he is the most caring person you will ever meet. He loves to spread the word with the other men he works with and he loves his job that God had blessed him with.

Backstory: At a young age Angie and Proctor Florence adopted Ashton and treated him as their own. After he got old enough to work with Proctor at him job he met a young woman he thought he loved. But then she took all his money when they were supposed to be married and left him standing at the alter. So now he thinks all woman are the same; They only care about themselves and that they're all hungry for money.
History isn't one of my best subjects in school, so what's the usual setting in the 1940s?
