Okie dokie. I hit this little experiment pretty darn hard for the past 5 days and now...
*wipes sweat off brow*
I'm done.
Unless I come across a pretty-looking romance blog. We all know I can't possibly resist something pretty hahahaha!!
Hugs,
Ann

I submitted yesterday and was accepted by this goodreads author/blogger who kindly announced that he is taking review requests for indie books. I have seen him do podcasts before and he seems like a pretty cool guy (sorry Annie, this is the one who said no romance):

I jest, I jest! Well, I did PM him but just to thank him for helping other indies hahaha!! I'm super happy to hear he was smart enough to accept our Marie ^_^
Hugs,
Ann
P.S. - I just submitted to another romance blog...

i'm updating the author resource spreadsheet. so, i just wanted to check in whether they responded to you. thx!
correct. i doubt very much if these book blogger websites that are asking for a "synopsis" actually know how that word is used in traditional publishing. and yes, if it is published on the website/email/whatever, then the book blogger isn't asking for that "traditional" synopsis.
Annie wrote: "Okay, I just took a peek at Awesome Gang and they are NOT asking for a blurb. They ARE asking for a short (semi-long, actually) synopsis.
I'll be honest, I'd still stick my blurb in there even though it's not recommended. Becuase I think it's punchier than an actual synopsis"
(although i'm actually feeling more nauseous than i've ever felt before having to admit that Ann has a solid recommendation, she does) awesomegang.com isn't asking for what traditional publishers would ask for when asking for a "synopsis"--which is a 2-3pg summary of the plot, including the ending--b/c awesomegang.com is going to display it along w/your cover on their website/email/whatever. this is their additional note under the "Your Book Synopsis" field: this is a sales pitch; that is a blurb; and then if you look at the "descriptions" of the books on their website, then they are blurbs (aka "sales descriptions").
