A Picture Book about the Apocalypse?

What about a cautionary tale for children about ignorance and the Apocalypse? A picture book. Something dark. Something to scare them straight? Illustrations along the vein of Ralph Steadman. Pen and Ink. Something a parent would want and appreciate as well. Would the membership here be interested in something like this? I ask because I just penned something recently - a story made up on the fly for my daughter to get her to sleep...
