Scorpius!! I wasn't expecting to, but I really loved him.

That's exactly what I thought!!! He was amazing. I thought Albus was just rude to Harry and it was super annoying!

he was a bit, but parent/child relationships can be difficult. Also he's a teenager and we're not well known for our politeness to our parents...

Well we only get to see a little of it because it's a play and they can't afford to give it as much detail and time as a book could

Me too!! And preferably with the cast that they have now, although I don't like my chances of it happening.

Well I live in bloody Australia, it's a miracle if "world tours" deign to visit us. And even then it's usually only Sydney.

Yeah! Okay so another character I liked (well liked to hate) was that one girl (Voldemort's daughter) just because her character is so developed

I called that from the beginning, not the Voldemort's daughter part, that totally surprised me, but the fact that she was a bad guy

going back to the beginning, i think that parent/child relationships are definitely difficult. i think that harry and albus's relationship is realistic for some people, but for me, i have a good relationship with my parents, so i was just frustrated while reading lol =_=
a bit of a simple question, but what were your thoughts on the play format? personally, i'm not a fan of play formats as i am just not able to be as engaged. i definitely got used to it as the story continued, but i just feel like i could've enjoyed the story more had i seen the actual play, or read it in a book format

I found it interesting to read it like that, but it did make the whole story feel rather rushed and I think a lot of the problems that people have with it, myself included, could be resolved or wouldn't exist if it were written as a novel.
I'm not necessarily saying that I disagree with it being a play, and I don't think that people should hold that against the story, and that they should try to understand that because it is a play it has certain limitations.
But it would be nice if someday J.K Rowling wrote the actual novel, or a fan who is able to similarly enough emulate her style.

And what do people think of Albus and Scorpius? Because I totally ship them together and they had so many couple-y moments that I seriously thought they would end up together at one point. I like the idea of Rose and Scorpius, but Rose has close to little interest in Scorpius and Albus and Scorpius would be so much better.
I didn't mind the play format! I thought it was really refreshing and different from what I normally read! And like you said Megan, I have a good relationship with my parents so the Albus/ Harry relationship drove me crazy! And I didn't really ship Scorpius and Albus, I really want Scorpius and Rose to be together. Their reading at the end was so cute!
