Identifying with characters.

So as I read this story for the second time that I identify with the same two characters as I had before. I seem to identify with with Colene and Sequiero. I understand Colene in how hard it can be feel like you're leading a double life and being depressed by what seems to be the unavoidable destruction of earth just due to people who can not see that the continuation of what they are doing. Sequiero; because I feel that my own intelligence is diminished when in company of those lower on the scale and increased when around those higher on the scale. As those higher on the scale feed my drive to know more and it encourages me to research further into topics that I did not fully understand in conversation.

The question is who do you identify with and why?
