Chapter 4 (24%) (view spoiler)[I love how they worked so well together. I did think it was rude how Romulus asked Clyde how many demerits he had, but then again Clyde did earn them and he let them know he was working to helping work them off so in a way it was a fair question. (hide spoiler)]

Did you find it strange that the work "telecommunications" was used? I did, so I look up the origin of the word and it doesn't look like that word came into use until the 1930's. The story takes place in the late 1880's, so that doesn't seem to fit very well. There were other words, but this was the most obviously not period correct, at least to me. (hide spoiler)]

Finished (view spoiler)[I liked this a lot. I did think it was strange that her father agree, even grudgingly, to her plan. You'd think that would make her a topic of gossip and possible ruin, but then this book felt more modern in most areas so I guess this wasn't any different.

Also, I thought it was strange that, though kind, that Clyde stayed to help Romulus study. Why couldn't Romulus leave and stay with them near West Point, so Clyde could make his check-in time, and them on his off time help them - or would he be busy all day and not able to help?
