Wimsey wanted to solve the mystery and then wished there had been no mystery to start with.

Pip | 1451 comments The obvious double nature exponent is Jeff Deacon, who took on another man's identity, and, indeed, a third persona. I am not sure what the question refers to in regards to Wimsey. Perhaps another reader will be able to enlighten me.
