I'm going for 5 this month. I'm a huge fan of the Olympic games so I will watching more tv than reading

I'm aiming for 6, but will add to the Olympics the fact that our daughter's first day of school is August 10. Yikes! Lots going on this August to impede a reader's goals.

5. I'm got six weeks of training for a new product at work....I know it's gonna tire me out. lol

I did. I read 11 books and 3 plays.

That's a toughy. I reread House of the Spirits for a 4th time so that's in its own category.
Here's what I enjoyed:
Between the World and Me
Last Ride to Graceland- Kim Wright
A Covenant With Death- Stephen Becker
In the Heat of the Night- John Dudley Ball
Another Brooklyn
Macbeth and The Merchant of Venice- Shakespeare

What I detested:
The Death of Sweet Mister- Daniel Woodrell

Did not live up to expectations:
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

I read 6 for August. Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi was my favorite.

Homegoing was my runner up favorite in July and would have been my favorite if I didn't read Gone With the Wind. My vacation is over so reading will decrease :(

I finished 5 during August, but remain in the middle of 6 others, so... There's lots of good reading going on.
