Jesse opened his door and got ready to step out. He didn't want to seem so weak in front of Tim, not again. His chest hurt with every breath after he stepped out, but he kept pushing himself.
Jesse sighed and nodded, "Okay, but I'm alright though" His words were breathless, and his lips were turning a little bit of purple as he struggled to breath. Jesse paused for a second to try and catch his breath, "Just... Can I take a second ..." Jesse squatted to the ground, pissed that he wasn't able to look like he wasn't hurting.
Tim sat next to Jesse. "Take as long as you need. remember you're still recovering" he smiled kindly.
Jesse took the time and breathed in deeply. He grabbed Tim's hand as he stood up. He walked the rest of the way to the front, unsteady, but leaning on Tim when he felt like he was about to fall.
Tim was there, supporting Jesse. the butler was waiting for them at the door. Tim smiled, kind of glad to be home
Jesse smiled at the butler, wondering where they were and what they were doing there. He held tightly on to Tim as they came in.
Jesse shook his head, "I'm okay... it's okay." He spoke the words half to convince Tim and half to convince himself. He felt about as good as he could, considering; however, he had an uneasy feeling about everything going on.
"Alright, if you say so. There's a room ready for you upstairs next to mine," Tim said. "And the kitchen is down here to the left with the game room to the right"
Jesse nodded and looked over at Tim, in his eyes for the first time since he met him, "You're staying here, right?" His eyes were almost begging with Tim, vulnerable and scared.
Jesse smiled and look toward the stairs, "Okay... good." He headed for the stairs and started up them. It was a slow process, but they made it up to the top eventually.
Tim helped Jesse the entire room then showed him to his room. "This room is yours, my is next door, if you need anything just ask"
Jesse went in to the room and sat on the edge of his bed. He hadn't slept on an actual bed for more than a few hours at a clinents house in a few years, so it was a strange feeling knowing he would be allowed on a bed all night. (( I've got to go, won't be back on until later tonight.))
Tim walked to his room, to clean up the mess he usually left on the floor and look through the clothes in his dresser.
Jesse pulled his knees to his chest and wrapped his arms around them. He rested his chin on his knee and closed his eyes, breathing in deeply. He was still incredibly sore, but his mind was elsewhere. He wasn't sure what Tim wanted in return for everything he was giving him. Jesse had never met anyone who didn't want something in return from him.
Tim pulled out some of his extra clothes that should fit Jesse until Alfred could go shopping for proper fitting clothes for the boy. Tim glanced the clock then smiled seeing it was time for dinner.
Jesse heard movement in the room next to his, but didn't move to get up. All of the exertion from his efforts earlier had begun to hit him. Each breath he took, he tried to pull in as much air as he could, but he still felt like he wasn't getting enough air. He looked over at the mirror on the dresser, his lips were turning purple again. The oxygen tank, he realized he had left it down stairs. How could he have forgotten it?(( haha, it's funny you keep using characters from the DC universe and my character's appearance picture is from the actor that plays a Marvel character ))
((Hehehe ))Tim grabbed the stack of clothes he had pulled out then walked to Jesse's room to give him the clothes and so they could go down for dinner
Jesse raised his head when he heard Tim approaching. He looked at him and bit his lip, "Can I ask a favor? I think I need that oxygen and I left it down stairs..." His lips grew bluer as he spoke to him.
Tim set the stack of clothes on the dresser. "Okay, just stay right here and breath the best you can" He said before hurrying off to get Jesse's oxygen
Jesse laid back on the bed and struggled to take deep breaths. He grabbed tightly at the bed and closed his eyes again.
Jesse sat up, taking the oxygen tank and setting it on the floor by the bed. He put the cannula in and turned on the tank, relaxing as the oxygen rushed in to his nose. With his voice crackling from how hypoxic he had been he looked up at Tim, "Thank you... I don't know what would have happened if..." He looked down at his hands and bit at his bottom lip. He knew he wouldn't have survived much longer at the place he had been, they never would have tried to take care of him. A few tears fell from his face as he stared at the ground.
Jesse chewed his inner cheek and slowly stood, hugging Tim as tight as he could, his cheek against Tim's chest. He hadn't planned on keeping the hug for long, Jesse usually just tolerated touching other people or them touching him, but this was different. All he wanted to do was to be in this man's arms and he couldn't explain why.
Tim hugged Jesse back gently. He wanted to do what he could to comfort Jesse. "There's dinner downstairs when you're ready" He said quietly.
Jesse nodded and let go of Tim, grabbing the tank to bring with him down stairs. He followed Tim down the stair case, stopping every few steps.
TIm led Jesse to the dining room where the rest of his family had gathered for dinner and Alfred, the butler, had set the table. Tim smiled.
Jesse slightly hid behind Tim, not sure where to sit or what to say. He clung to Tim's shirt as he stood there, his hands shaking all the while.
Tim smiled reassuringly. "Jesse, this is Bruce, my adopted father, then my three brothers, Richard, Damian, and Jason," Tim went to his seat, where there was an empty seat next to it.
Jesse sat in the empty seat and took a deep breath, the cannula still on, as he had felt light headed coming down the stairs.
Bruce smiled slightly. Jason and Richard were scowling. and then there was Damian who was reading. Tim sighed slightly.
Jesse grabbed Tim's knee as he gave a polite smile back to the men at the table. As soon as his hand touched Tim, Jesse could feel himself calming down.
Jesse ate in small bites of the meal, but eventually ate the entire thing. It was the best meal he had had in several years, not that he had many meals in the past two years any ways. "Thank you, dinner was amazing."
"You are welcome young sir" Alfred said as he worked on clearing everyone else's dishes. "Master Jason, I believe it is your turn to wash dishes. The small 11 year old grumbled as he went to the kitchen to wash dishes.
Jesse stood and looked over at Tim, "Is there anything I can do to help?" He wasn't sure what he could do to help them, but he knew he needed to offer help.
